A brave soul is beating Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom bosses with an Ocarina controller

Bolero of Flabbergasted

Occasionally, I’ll try a “weird controller” challenge: I mean, playing things with a DDR mat is just a fun idea. But have you ever considered beating Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom bosses with an ocarina?

just did it. And for multiple fights, too!

Here they are fighting the Wind Temple boss. . And astonishingly, Their goal is to beat the whole game with ꦜsaid Ocarina controller, which subs for a traditional control met𝓰hod for the Switch.

How are they doing it? : “I have a program on my computer that allows me to map different musical notes/frequencies to different inputs.” They also pointed out that they’ve cleared Breath of the Wild with an Ocarina, so their deꦬtermination is now tenfold.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be talked about for years

When I first experienced Tears of the Kingdom in complete isolation during the review period, I knew it was going to be big when it came to showing off emergent gameplay online (bold claim, I know!). There are just so many divergent puzzle solutions that it’s a blast to see how someone else handled a problem. In fact, I specifically sought out other people who also cleared a lot of puzzles by throwing a bunch of stuff in a pile until it built a giant contraption. It was straight out of that scene in Home Alone 2 where Marv builds a little structure to help him and Harry get out of the basement of Uncle Rob and Aunt Georgette’s townhouse.

Where was I? Oh, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a fun game to both play and watch: which is becoming a rarity as m♉any other AAA games rely on old open world tropes.
