The Games Done Quick (GDQ) team has released a for its next speedrunning event, AGDQ 2023 — Once again, the fastest fingers in gaming will be gathering onl🅠ine to lay waste to a wide variety of new, classic, and debuting gam🎃es, from a variety of genres, and all for a worthwhile cause.

While GDQ had planned to host the AGDQ 2023 extravaganza in a physical capacity, the team decided that Florida does not currently provide a safe enough environment, (from a social or COVID-19-related standpoint), 🐎for such a community gathering. As explained on , the cancellation of the Floridian venue has left the organizer out of pocket, and thus requires the event to now be held in an online capacity.

AGDQ🍌 2023 will be held live, , from Sunday, January 8 through Sunday, J🍨anuary 15.

Viewers jumping online over the course of the week can expect to see an array of speed runs, challenges, and time trials across hundreds of great (and not-so-great) titles. These modern and classic Nintendo releases such as Splatoon 3, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Metroid Prime 1 & 2, to recent PlayStation, Xbox, and PC hits including Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Neon White, Dark Souls II, Cult of the Lamb, and Capcom’s Resident Evil 7.

Of course, there will be a metric ton of retro action also on offer, so be sure to tune in for runs on Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers, Vampire Night, Ax Battler, Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, and Gunstar Heroes, as well as a bevy of releases from the Sonic the Hedgehog, Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania, and Mega Man franchises. The audience will be able to vote for bonus games, character names, and speedrun options, while entering competitions and giveaways. Once again, all proceeds and donations will go directly to AGDQ’s chosen charity, the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
