How to defeat every boss in Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 4
The main goal of fighting each Fortnite boss is to protect yourself against their onslaught of attacks while either avoiding other players or using them to weaken the boss before sweeping in for the final blow. You can do this in many ways, but it’ll largely depend on how many people are around, including NPCs. Generally speaking, you’ll want strong weapons and full shields before entering the fight.
Doombot
Doombot, a robot created by Doctor Doom himself, is a boss you can encounter in your Fortnite matches. Doombot spawns in a throne room in Castle Doom and has a few dangerous attacks that can wipe you out. For the most part, your focus is to enter the throne room, dealing as much damage as possible before the boss’ attacks begin, then dodging or blocking any incoming damage.
After some time, Doombot’s minions will appear and start attacking you as well. Weapons like Captain America’s Shield will help you block bullets and deal ricocheting damage, but you don’t necessarily require it for this fight. You should be fine if you have some strong weapons and don’t get hit by Doombot’s initial charge and subsequent magic attacks or get eliminated by another player. If needed, you can use the pillars in the room to block attacks or build a staircase if you’re on Build Mode.
Once you defeat Doombot, you’ll get multiple valuable items, including Doctor Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets and his Siphon Medallion. Having the Medallion active will give you life steal for the remainder of the match, making it one of the better upgrades in the game.
Mysterio
Next on the list is Mysterio, a special effects master residing in Doomstadt. Unlike Doombot, Mysterio will teleport around the area to attack you, making it difficult to track his movements and defend yourself. Outside of this, he’s one of the easier bosses to fight, as he’ll mostly attack you with gunshots and can easily be outmaneuvered between teleports.
Defeating Mysterio will reward you with his Sovereign Shotgun and Stealth Medallion, giving you cloaking while crouching. These are both pretty helpful items, especially if you’re a fan of sniping enemies from hilltops or tops of staircases.
Emma Frost
Last but not least is Emma Frost, a powerful character who patrols The Raft. You’ll usually find her in the main prison area, but since other players can lure her into different spots, you’ll want to keep an eye on your map for her boss icon.
Oftentimes, you’ll find Emma Frost sitting on a throne with grunts nearby, similar to Doombot at Castle Doom. At first, she’ll envelop herself in frost and become invulnerable, making this a good time to focus on her minions. After some time, she’ll return to normal, giving you plenty of time to deal some damage while watching your surroundings for other players. This is another good opportunity to use Captain America’s Shield if you have it to deal damage to multiple NPCs, including Emma herself.
Once you defeat Emma Frost, she’ll drop her Striker Burst AR and a Reveal Medallion that marks nearby enemies briefly. The Burst AR, in particular, is one of the strongest weapons in the game due to its high damage output and speed, so be sure to keep this by your side during your match.
