When to expect Black Ops 6 Beta and Early Access

The confirms two phases for Black Ops 6 Open Beta with the following dates and times:

  • Weekend One (Early Access): Aug. 30 at 10 a.m. PT to Sept. 4 at 10 a.m. PT
  • Weekend Two (Open Beta): Sept. 6 at 10 a.m. PT to Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. PT

To participate in Black Ops 6 Early Access, you must pre-order the game to get a code. Game Pass users can also obtain access, but it may require Game Pass Core to play Multiplayer. The Open Beta, on the other hand, will be available for all platforms and is a separate event from Early Access. If it’s anything like MW3’s, you likely won’t need to pre-order the game since it’ll be free to play for a limited time.

Pre-loads for the Black Ops 6 Beta have already begun with the Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 5 Reloaded update. If you’ve recently installed a new patch to your game, you’ll see a Black Ops 6 Multiplayer file there. This patch will prepare you for the beta, so you don’t have to worry too much about storage on launch day.

Despite being an Open Beta version, there will be plenty of content to try out, including building your own loadout with the latest weapons and perks. You’ll also get to test out the new Omnimovement, which tremendous🌞ly changes how an Operato🦋r moves.

It isn’t clear what modes will be available for the beta, but it will likely have standard ones like Team Deathmatch and Kill Confirmed. Zombies may not be a part of this, as the Call of Duty Blog only mentions Multiplayer.

Keep in mind that Open Beta progress might not transfer over to Black Ops 6’s full launch. The two weekends primarily aim to give you a taste of its features, so you’ll need to start over again in October.
