All four Ancient Key locations in Disney Dreamlight Valley

What's that on the floor over there?

Have you noticed some mysterious keys around Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Aladdin Realm? There are four Ancient Keys to search for, but no quests or dialogue with Aladdin and Jasmine reveal their origins. What do these keys do, and where do you use them? That’s what we’re here to find out.

You’ll find four Ancient Keys as you complete the Aladdin Realm’s quests. Each one is missable, but you’re almost guaranteed to accidentally uncover at least two. The challenging part is noticing them appear on the ground, as they’re quite small and usually spawn shortly after finishing mission objectives.

As a quick warning, some keys only appear at the end of the Aladdin Realm’s story. You’re required to complete the entire realm storyline to find all four keys, so there will be quest spoilers ahead.

First is the Ancient Green Key you obtain after fishing in Agrabah’s desert oasis. The desert oasis is the pond outside the town that you’ll spot when you first enter the realm. However, even if you don’t spot it right away, you’ll have another opportunity to collect this key while hunting for Alchemy Table parts during the Breaking Through quest.

Next is the Ancient Blue Key you spot after completing the Artisan District fountain puzzle during the Wish Magic quest. It’s impossible to finish this puzzle before this point in the story, requiring you to complete almost the entire Aladdin Realm questline before obtaining it. Once you solve the puzzle, the key will appear on the ground near the fountain’s center.

The Ancient Red Key appears even further into the Aladdin Realm questline, spawning on the floor after you complete Carpet Diem and resolve Agrabah’s Windcaller vortex problem. Once you finish the mission series and return to the Aladdin Realm, you’ll find the key on the ground near the Windcaller pillar in the Central Market.

Yellow Key location

Last but not least is the Ancient Yellow Key, which appears after building three additional market stalls in the Central Market. During Brave the Storm, you and Aladdin will travel to the South Market and repair three market stalls using various resources. However, as you travel around the rest of the Aladdin Realm, you’ll notice more of these materials that you can use to rebuild additional stalls.

Excluding the items you collected during Brave the Storm, you’ll need to locate the following resources to repair all three Central Market stalls:

  • Sticky Fouled Fruit Sugars (3)
  • Timber Stacks (3)
  • Fine Rope (3)
  • Bolts of Silk (3)

Where you’ll find these depends on where you collected the initial batch of materials. Generally speaking, searching around paths you rarely traveled is your best bet to finding more. For me, that was an alleyway that branched off from the Central Market and connected to the palace alley. Checking rooftops for extra supplies can also help.

Once you have each resource, head into a c๊rafting station, select Functional Items, and scroll down until you find the Stall Repair Kit recipﷺe. Make three and repair the broken Central Market stalls until you encounter the Ancient Yellow Key.

Where to use Ancient Keys in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Once you have all three Ancient Keys, head to the Central Market and interact with the studded metal door. You’ll find it next to the Windcaller structure and the path to the fountain puzzle. This entrance is an Ancient Vault that, when opened, will show four slots for your keys.

Rather than opening to a secret room or area, though, the mysterious door releases some items once you insert the keys inside. You’ll receive two market resources bags, 1,000 Star Coins, and a Furniture Pouch containing an Agrabah Crafting Station if you want to add some flair to your Disney Dreamlight Valley village.
