All new Alan Wake 2 Final Draft manuscript pages and where to find them

A sense of déjà vu.

The New Game Plus mode of Alan Wake 2 brought with it changes and additions worth seeking out for fans of the original experience. As Saga, you can gather new manuscript pages strewn throughout the Final Draft mode of Alan Wake 2 — and here’s where you can find them.

There are six new manuscript pages to find in Alan Wake 2 – Final Draft. For the most part, they can be hard to miss. Developer Remedy Entertainment seems to have gone out of its way to ensure you practically trip over the things. But that doesn’t mean they’re impossible to overlook by accident. The list below should help those who want to make sure they experience all the new content brought by the mode.

Where to find the new manuscript pages in Alan Wake 2 – Final Draft

You only find manuscript pages during the Return chapters, where you mostly play as Saga Anderson. There are ten such chapters. With only six new pages, not every chapter will include a new page. One chapter will have two pages, though. Again, the pages are difficult to miss. But not knowing exactly how many pages there are nor where they’re located is a bit daunting. After all, you don’t want to miss anything on your second playthrough of the game. I understand.

Here they are in order:

Return 1: The Invitation – Saga Anderson’s Deja Vu

The first new manuscript page you can find in Alan Wake 2 – Final Draft is in Saga’s starting chapter following Return 0: The Cult. You’ll find ‘Saga Anderson’s Deja Vu’ at the Cauldron Lake area. Complete your investigations first. Before you return to Bright Falls, look for the page on a boulder near the Witch’s Hut.

Return 2: The Heart – Dark Poem 1

The next page is also near the Witches Hut back at Cauldron Lake. Once you restore power to the Hut, the page will appear on the table next to you. The poem will return in Alan’s chapter, Initiation 2: Casey. It appears written on the wall of 𒈔the murder scene.

Return 5: Old Gods – Dark Poem 2

The next page won’t appear until you reach Return 5. After you restore power to Valhalla Nursing Home, you will find the page on the floor of Cynthia Weaver’s room. If you need help figuring out how to get the fuse from the home’s basement and restore power, feel free to follow our handy guide.

Return 6: Scratch – Breakthrough in the Lake House

The next page is in the Sheriff’s Station basement in Bright Falls. Talk with Alex Casey, who’ll give you a fuse to restore the power via a panel against the wall of the morgue. Head upstairs to find the page near the body of a fallen officer in the hallway.

Return 6: Scratch – Dark Poem 3

You’ll find the next page also at the Sheriff’s Station in Bright Falls. After the fight with Scratch, chat with FBC agent Kiran Estevez and she’ll hand you a key to a cell door. The page is in the jail cell on an FBC storage crate.

Return 7: Summoning – It’s Not a Lake

You should get the last new manuscript page you can find in Alan Wake 2 – Final Draft after you complete everything else on your to-do list as Saga. The only way to reach it is beyond the game’s ‘point of no return’. If you’re ready, you’ll find the page after you pass the bridge but before you reach the lake’s beach where everyone is waiting for you.

Before you get the final page, be sure you have everything done as Saga. She has a load of collectibles to gather, ranging from lunchboxes to nursery rhymes. Saga also has a weird hobby of petting dead deer heads, but even that offers some kind of reward. It’s still a bit creepy, though.

For other Final Draft changes, be sure to keep an eye out for our Alan Wake 2 walkthroughs. We go over each chapter of the game and list what the mode brings to the table. Not every chapter includes changes, so stay tuned if you don’t want to miss all the new stuff.
