Completing the Kitakami Pokédex in the first part of the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC, The Teal Mask, is worth a lot more than the feeling of accomplishment. Your Pokédex, just like in the base game, gifts you items as you reach some mile🌠stones of unique Pokémon captured or evolved. These are the Pokédex completion rewards.
Out of the 13 items you can get, nine of them are rare or difficult to find in other ways. For example, you can get scarce Apricorn Pokéballs like Moon Ball and Heavy Ball, which have very high collector value within the Pokémon community. In Scarlet and Violet, these are locked behind Porto Marinada’s expensive auctions, and you’ll have to do some date-skipping to get a bunch of them.
All Kitakami Pokédex completion rewards in The Teal Mask
Here’s the full list of Kitakami Pokédex completion rewards:
Number of Pokémon registered | Reward |
90 | 1 PP Up |
100 | 1 Bottle Cap |
110 | 1 Razor Cap |
120 | 1 Love Ball |
130 | 5 Star Pieces |
140 | 1 Prism Scale |
150 | 3 Comet Shards |
160 | 1 Friend Ball |
170 | 1 Reaper Cloth |
180 | 1 Heavy Ball |
190 | 1 PP Max |
200 | 1 Moon Ball 1 Glimmering Charm |
To get the last reward, Glimmering Charm, you must speak with Jaq at Reveler’s Road, just south of Mossui Town, and he will give you this item. It increases the amount of Tera Shards you get when beating Tera Raids.
The Teal Mask’s Pokédex completion rewards milestones start at 90 registered Pokémon out of 200 total. That’s around the number of Pokémon from the Paldea Pokédex that are also present in the Kitakami Pokédex. Completing the Paldea Pokédex is how I got this huge jumpstart and got to the first milestone by catching almost no Pokémon in Kitakami.

How to complete the Kitakami Pokédex
You can get most Pokémon in the Kitakami Pokédex by simply playing The Teal Mask DLC and catching the Pokémon in the wild and evolving them. The only Pokémon you will be missing are the version exclusives of the game version you don’t own, which you can get by trading online with other players using trade codes.
