Anime Expo 2024 has just w📖rapped and there were a quite few video game related surprise announcements. From old𝄹 school come-backs to updates on RPGs, we got you covered on the video game highlights.

Bandai Namco Summer Showcase unveils new Bleach game

The unveiled a new Bleach 3D fighting game titled Bleach: Rebirth of Souls. There has not been a new Bleach video ⛄game in years, but with𒐪 the anime releasing new episodes, it makes sense to release a new game.

Many characters from the entire series will be playable. While I have never watched any Bleach, this trailer made me raise an eyebrow.

Guilty Gear: Duel Rivals

The Guilty Gear Strive anime got a teaser trailer, showcasing some stunning 3D footage and revealing the original game cast is returning to their roles. A new character named Unika is featured𓃲 heavily, alongside popular characters like Sol Badguy and⛄ Sin Kiske.

Guilty Gear Strive: Duel Rulers is scheduled for next year, and I ⭕will binge it all as soon as it drops.

Trails Through Daybreak’s sequel arrives in the U.S. next year

The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II is coming overseas next year. In fact, the first game of this series (which is an arc of the Trails series, which is a part of the Legend of Heroes series), just released last week!

We reviewed The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak and s❀aid ♈it was a great starting point for new players. I wonder if I can summon the courage to finally dip i🧸nto the series.

Natsu-Mon heads west

During the Spike Chunsoft panel, the publisher announced that Natsu-Mon: 20th Century Summer Kid will💞 get an official English release on August 6 for Steam and Nintendo Switch. While Spike Chunsoft will be publishing the cozy game in the west, Millennium Kitchen and T😼oybox are the developers, under the direction of veterans Kaz Ayabe and Yasuhiro🐈 Wada.

Honestly, this might be💫 my favorite announcement of the whole expo — wholesome open-world? Sign me up!

WayForward is rereleasing Sigma Star Saga

Sigma Star Saga, an old Game Boy Advance hidden gem, is com♒ing back to Steam, consoles and the GBA itself. Using Limited Run Games’ Carbon Engine, WayForward is unearthing this cult-classic top down shooter, so you’ll be able play Sigma Star Saga on some modern hardware sometime next year. It’s always so cool when games release on old hardware.

I have already been excited for this game, from its art style to 💛its gameplay, but learning a bit about this stolen throne adventure is hyping me up even more.

Shadow the Hedgehog fans rejoice

It’s the year of Shadow the Hedgehog I guess, which means that we’re getting a new three-episode animated series called . The series is a prologue to, the remake releasing October 22.

The trailer showcases Maria and Emerl as well as some breathtaking animation from Studio Giggex. Honestly, I know very little about Shadow’s story but I am already all-in on this teaser.

Touhou bullet hell tactical RPG?!

Have you ever 🔴wanted a Touhou game but it is also a tactical RPG? is just that, blending bullet hell and tactical gameplay.

Touhou Spell Carnival released earlier this year in Japan, but will release elsewhere laterꦛ this year. I am awful at both of these genres, but I just love the combo of both.

Ys X: Nordics gets a release date

The latest Ys game is getting an English translation on October 25. Grab your life vest, will take place on the high seas. The Nordic inspiration is pretty clear and I am loving the loo🐲k of it.
