Rocksteady’s lead narrative designer Paul Crocker has recently been discussing Batman: Arkham Asylum with VG247. Much like the rest of the world they liked the game and of whether or not Rocksteady would be making a sequel. He responded with 🍬a statement that would normally get him the Captain Obvious award of the week, but in this case only receives a very confused look. “We’re just waiting to see if people like the game,” he said.
Waiting to see if people do what now? Like it? He’s talking about Batman: Arkham Asylum, the almost universally acclaimed, highly scored on Destructoid, Rev ranted, beloved rebirth of Batman in gaming, right? No, he can’t be. He must be talking about some other game starring Batman that isn’t already obviously one of the hottest games of the year. I realize that sales numbers take a little while to trickle in, Paul, but we’ve got our fingers on the pulse of gaming here and it’s a pretty safe bet that people like your game, so get with the sequel making.
Crocker declined to comment on any DLC plans during VG247’s interview, but did say that it exists.
