Best base locations in Palworld

There's a base for every resource

Your three bases within Palworld are the heart of your game, not only do bases offer both you and your Pals respite and protection, it’s where your Pals work hard to produce the items needed to help you survive the wilds of Palpagos.

As such, it’s important to think carefully about where you want to put your bases. It’s incredibly easy to get swept up in the beauty of an area, but you want to ignore your desire for an aesthetic base if you want an easy life in Palpagos. In order to maximise efficiency, you’ll need to figure out which locations ꦺoffer the most resources. Don’t worry, we’re here t💝o help.

Why is base location important in Palworld?

As you progress through Palworld, you’ll need each⛦ of the following resources in lar🍒ge numbers:

  • Coal
  • Ore
  • Quartz
  • Sulfur

While things like Stone and Wood are easy to get at your base, thanks to the Logging Site and Stone Pit, these resources ca𒐪n only be found in the wild. While you can, theoretically, go out and gather these resources yourself, the vast quantities you’ll need will re𓂃sult in you constantly being weighed down by your inventory.

Instead, it’s a good idea to place bases in locations where these resources are available and place suitable mining Pals on those bases to do the hard work for you. If you do this, all that’s left for you to do is visit the base and pick up the resources that aw💛ait you there.

In terms of Coal, this location offers six nodes. It can be found just North of the Snowy Mountain Fork fast travel point. This b𓆉ase location isn’t the best in terms of building, as it’s in the middle of a ravine, but elevating a base will negate this issue.

Offering five Sulfur nodes and a bonus Ore node, this location does come with a particular issue – it’s in the middle of a Volcano just south of the Mount Obsidian Midpoint fast travel point. However, as long as you don some Heat Resistant Armor, you’ll be fine and your Pals won’t mind the heat either.

This plateau to the West of the Pristine Snow Field fast travel point offers an impressive nine Pure Quartz nodes and a bonus Ore node. Thanks to its elevated❀ location, you’ll avoid most raid attempts here and as it’s pretty flat, it works well for building too.

Unraidable base location in Palworld

This tower, just West of Ice Weasel Hill, is impossible to raid due to its elevated position and sheer drop off on every side. Because of this, you’ll need a flying mount to access it, but there are four chests which 💙respawn at the top as long as you don’t build on top of them.
