Best Corin Wickes build in Zenless Zone Zero – Best Drive Discs, W-Engine, Bangboo, and team compositions

Chainsaw Girl!

The most diligent member of the Victoria Housekeeping crew, Corin is also both one of the best Physical DPSs in Zenless Zone Zero and one of the most fun characters to use iꦇn the game. The reason? I bet you will find your answer by simply glancing at the gigantic chainsaw she wields.

But given her lack of Crit Rate, building her can be a little tricky. For all looking to bring out her full potential and saw their way through any threat, here’s the best Corin Wickes build in ZZZ, as well as the best teams and Bangboos 🦩for her.

The best W-Engines for Corin in Zenless Zone Zero

As you can expect, the best W-Engine for Corin is Steel Cushion. The S-Ranker will offer everything you can expect of a W-Engine by featuring a 684 base attack value and providing a 24% increase in Crit Rate at level 60. A o❀ne-star Steel Cushion will also bring a 20% Physical DMG boost to the table and allow Corin to deal 25% more damage when striking enemies from behind.

Best A-Rank W-Engines

Among the A-Rank W-Engines, my main pick will be her signature Housekeeper, which will provide her with 624 ba♛se attack and a 25% ATK increase while at level 60.

At one star, Housekeeper will also provide her with a 0.45/s off-the-field ER increase and boost her Physical DMG by 3% after she scores hits with her EX Special Attack. The buff will cap at 15 stacks for a 45% increase and each stack will last for one second. Once at 15 stacks, each hit within its uptime will refresh the cumulative buff’s duration. At five stars, Housekeeper becomes the absolute best A-Rank W-Engine for Corin damage-wise, only losing the spot of BIS given Steel Cushion’s Crit Rate substat.

Thanks to the utility brought by its 20% Crit Rate substat at level 60, the BP-exclusive Cannon Rotor w♓ill be my second cho♍ice for Corin among the A-Rank engines.

Best F2P W-Engine for Corin

For F2P players, its high ATK increase makes Starlight Engine the best pick for our chainsaw-wielding maid, no matter its star rating. To recap꧙ and add a little more, you can check out an overview of the top six W-Engines for Corin below. All S-Rank picks below are locked to one star, as using paid resourꩵces on S-Rank W-Engine copies is not recommended.

The best Drive Discs for Corin in ZZZ

The best Drive Disks for Corin in Zenless Zone Zero.

The best Drive Disc set for Corin in ZZZ will be composed of a 4-piece Fanged Metal and a 2-piece Woodpecker Electro. Fanged Metal will boost her Physical DMG by 10% and increase her damage against targets by 35% after they are afflicted with Assault. The latter effect will last for 12 seconds. A 2-piece Woodpecker Electro, on the other hand, will provide ෴a much-needed 8% boost in Crit Rate.

Since you need to reach at least 50% CRIT Rate and 80/100% CRIT DMG to maximize Corin’s damage, I recommend that you go with Crit Rate as the main stat for your fourth Drive Disc. If you are using either Steel Cushion or Cannon Rotor, go with Crit DMG.

For the remaining discs, go with the DPS mandatory Physical DMG Bonus and ATK ones. Substat-wise, focus on CRIT Rate until you reach 50% and then prioritize further b༒oosting your CRIT DMG. If you manage to reach 100% Crit DMG 𓂃and want to go further, continue to aim for the 1:2 ratio.

Why you should aim for 50% Crit Rate

Having a 50% Crit Rate stat will mean that it’s likely one in every two attacks will critically hit, and will thus provide a reliable and considerable boost in damage. That is especially true in Corin’s case, as all of her attacks are composed of a massive array of single hits. To maximize the effects of each strike, it’s also a must that you try to get your CRIT DMG to either above or as close as possible to 100%. At 100%, each CRIT performed will deal double the overall damage.

The best teams for Corin in Zenless Zone Zero

Given their synergy and the latter’s ability to deal massive amounts of stun and damage, the best team for Corin in Zenless Zone Zero will feature Lycaon as its stun unit/sub-DPS. To enable the full effects of Fanged Metal, Piper will then be my pick for the last agent slot. When in the field, Piper will add a reliable amount of Anomaly Buildup to the mix and be able to apply a situational buff. Using Sousaku in Piper’s place can also work here thanks to her massive ATK buff.

If you don’t have Lycaon, using Koleda will work just as well. Pairing Corin and Koleda in teams not featuring Piper is only recommended if you have Lucy, as she will provide an ATK buff akin to Soukaku’s while also triggering at least two additional skills.

Which Bangboo should you go with?

As our Corin build relies on the 4-piece effect of Fanged Metal, my main Bangboo pick will be Bangvolver. When in the team, the Bangboo will provide a massive amount of Physical Anomaly Buildup and a good chunk of Physical Damage. If you don’t have our top pick, using either Bagboo for some extra ounces of Physical DMG or the S-Ranker Butler for some healthy doses of energy can also work.
