How to craft items in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Before you can craft items in Island Adventure, you’ll need to complete﷽ t🍃he main quest “Power Up the Gate”, which will provide access to the Crafting Table next to Chococat’s tent.

Once you’ve unlocked the Crafting Table, the world🤪 is your oyster, so they say. As long as you’ve unlocked a Crafting Plan through leveling up friendships, finding them in Treasure Chests, or completing quests, you’ll then have the option to craft that item once ✱you’ve got the resources.

There’s also a second Crafting Table in Gemst☂one Town, located inside Gemstone Mountain. However, this is a relatively late-game area, so you’ll likely be using Chococat’s Crafting Table a lot before you reach that point.

The best items to craft in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

There are a staggering number of possible items to craft in Island Adventure. So, let🎀’s get rid of the fluff and focus on the important items that will help you in the long run.

Flippers

This is an early-game recipe you’ll unlock once you’ve located Keroppi past the Island Res꧅ort gate and it is one of the first things you’ll do concerning ♏him.

Flippers are incredibly useful, allowing you to swim in open waters and explore more of the map without t🐈he constant annoyance of falling into the water and ending up exactly where you started.

Thankfully, Flippers are pretty simple to make, and Keroppi will actually gi♉ve ๊you one of the two necessary items that you need:

  • 1 Fins
    • Provided by Keroppi at the start of the quest “Finding Flippers.”
  • 1 Strap
    • Located in the treasure chest on the pier behind Keroppi.

Fishing Rod

This is another easy-to-unlock and relatively easy-to-craft recipe that you get by progressing your friendship with Badtz-maru to level 3.

The uses of the Fishing Rod are fairly obvious, ♔and since many characters like to receive fish as a daily gift, you’ll quickly be able to hoard a hefty supply of gifts just through fishing. Plus, the fishing mechanics in Island Adventure are nice, so it can be a relaxing way to pass the time while yoꦉu wait for resources to respawn.

Here’s what you’ll need to gather up to craft a Fishing Rod once ꧃you’ve unlocked the Plan:

  • 10 Sticks
    • While Sticks can be found through different methods, your best bet to make a Fishing Rod is to forage them around Seaside Resort.
  • 3 Thread
    • Rewarded when gifts are given to Tuxedosam.
  • 1 Gizmo
    • Rewarded when gifts are given to Chococat.

Net

Once you open up the Spooky Swamp and reach level 2 friendship with Keroppi, you’ll be able to complete the “Open the Nature Preserve” quest. Through tꦗhis ♛quest, Badtz-maru will provide the Plan for a Net.

While the Net isn’t strictly necessary for progression, it opens up the fun new pastime of Critter Catching, through which you can fill the Nature♈ Reserve with all cute little creatures. This is essentially the same as the Museum in any other cozy title, but witꦏh a Keroppi-style twist.

ꦏHere’s what you’ll need to make a Net and how to𝓰 get each item:

  • 10 Sticks
    • As with the Sticks ,you’ll need for the Fishing Rod, your best bet for crafting a Net is to find them around Seaside Resort.
  • 3 Thread
    • Rewarded when gifts are given to Tuxedosam.
  • 1 Light Stone
    • Rewarded when gifts are given to Kuromi.

Snorkel

A Snorkel can only be crafted once you’ve reached level 6 friendship with Kuromi, so you’l🐓l need to ply her with Pumpkins if you want to start diving𒊎.

Swimming using the Flippers is all well and good, but having the ability to dive opens up a whole new underwater world and allows you to meet back up with𒅌 Hangyodon in Rainbow Reef. Therefore, ⛄the Snorkel is essential and should be crafted as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, the materials needed𝐆 to craft the Snorkel are hard to come by or require you to have access to mid-game areas, so this one will definitely take some effort.

Here’s what you need:

  • 10 Rubber
    • 7 Rubber can spawn per real-time day around Seaside Resort.
  • 2 Sparks
    • Recipe unlocked through Pocchaco’s level 4 friendship quest “A Zipline Adventure.”
    • Crafted using 2 Light Stones, which are obtained by giving gifts to Kuromi.
  • 2 Ingots
    • Crafted using 3 Iron Ore each, 14 of which can be found between Mount Hothead and Crystal Caves.

Pickaxe

While exploring the Island Adventure map, you’ll come across boulders that can be broken open to complete quests or otherwise reveal a Treasure Chest inside. For this purpose, a Pickaxe can be crafted after you’ve completed the quest “Revive the Oasis.”

If y💖ou’re after a more minimalistic aesthetic, you can also use the 🤪Pickaxe to remove Treasure Chests that have already been opened. Either way, this is a useful tool and should be crafted as soon as it becomes available.

Here’s what you’ll need to craft a Pickaxe:

  • 10 Woodblocks
    • Recipe unlocked upon reaching friendship level 5 with Keroppi.
    • Crafted using either 5 Sticks or 7 Coconuts.
  • 3 Ingots
    • Crafted using 3 Iron Ore each, 14 of which can be found between Mount Hothead and Crystal Caves.
