The last of the sniper rifles, the LR 7.62 is unlocked very late in every soldier’s career, accessible only once you reach level 49. Once you’re there, you can equip it into any custom loadout you like.

What is the best build for LR 7.62 in Black Ops 6?

The LR 7.62 is a powerhouse sniper in Black Ops 6, trading speed for raw damage. It’s not exactly built for quickscoping like the Frostline or rapid-fire action like the SVD, but it shines in locking down critical map areas. Its slow ADS speed and handling mean you’ll want to find a good po🐠sition near objectives or chokepoints where you can take your time and hit hard. For this beast, you want a build focused on stability and accuracy to help it do what it’s best at: hardscoping and dominating sightlines.

  • Optic: K&S Thermal Holo
  • Muzzle: Suppressor
  • Barrel: CHF Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Precision Handguard
  • Stock: Combat Stock

The Optic of choice is up to your preference, but the K&S Thermal Holo is perfect for locating enemies without all the visual noise of the map cluttering your sight. Enemies give off heat signatures that make them extremely easy to spot and fire at a moment’s notice. The downside is that other heat signatures, such as fire or explosions, can clutter your vision significantly.

Equipping a Suppressor keeps you off the enemy’s mini-map while masking your fire from sight.

The CHF Barrel improves the one-shot kill potential of the LR 7.62 by improving its damage multipliers to the lower body. The cost is even worse handling for the LR 7.62, but since you’ll be hardscoping more with this sniper than others, it is fine.

The Precision Handguard dramatically reduced the sw﷽ay motion you get while ADS, allowing you to take accurate shots outside of Focus windows.

Finally, the Combat Stock vastly reduces the amount of flinch you receive when under fire,🎃 while also slightly boosting y🐽our ADS walking speed.

Best Equipment and Perks for the LR 7.62 in Black Ops 6

The LR 7.62 is perfect for hardscopin🅺g along sight lanes and defending locations, especially with a thermal scope equipped to spot enemies from a distance. To make it even more effective in this role, a select set of Equipment and Perks can enhance its strengths, keeping you steady, aware, and lethal while holding down key map locations.

  • Tactical: Smoke Grenade
  • Lethal: Molotov
  • Field Upgrade: Assault Pack
  • Perk 1: Flak Jacket or Tac Mask
  • Perk 2: Fast Hands
  • Perk 3: Quartermaster
  • Wildcard: Tactical Expert

Tactical Expert and Smoke Grenade are the most important aspects of this loadout. Your goal will be to throw down as much smoke coverage on a critical location as possible and use your thermal scope to snipe confused enemies stuck within. In most cases, they won’t see you (or your glint), but you’ll clearly see them.

Supporting this, the Assault Pack and Quartermaster will keep you constantly in a constant supply of smoke on the field at all times. Swap between Flak Jacket or Tac Mask depending on the situation. With all three above Perks active, Strategist will also be enabled, allowing you to throw your Equipment down q💎uickly.
