Playstyles

Neuvillette꧑ is an on-field DPS. ⛄His kit centers around his Charged Attack, which charges for a few seconds before unleashing a veritable power-washer Kamehameha beam. While the beam is firing, Neuvillette’s HP will continuously drain.

Neuvillette’s Skill and Burst both do AoE Hydro damage and create Sourcewater Droplets that stay on-field. Using his Charged Attack while there are Sourcewater Droplets in the vicinity will consume three of them, heal himself, and instantly charge his Charged Attack. His Skill gener🤪ates three Droplets while his Burst generates six.

This kit design means that you always want to use either a Skill or Burst before unleashing a Charged Attack. Other🐼 than that though, you have some flexibility with regards to specific combos.

The lazy combo

E CA Q CA E (CA)

Use this combo if you want to simplify your Neuvillette rotations by having him on-field for one, uninterrupted stretch of time. Without the final Charged Attack, it takes around 10 seconds to perform — long enough to take advantage of most buffs and work with most teammates. It’s generally worth it to include the third Charged Attack at the end, even if it extends your rotation by a few seconds. Even unbuffed, it’s still decent damage.

The interrupted combo

Q > swap to supports > E CA CA > swap to supports > E CA (CA)

This is Neuvillette’s combo if you’re willing to interrupt his field time with supports. It allows you to buff all of his Charged Attacks to their maximum extent. The Burst🍌 at the very beginning ensures there are Sourcewater Droplets on the field for laterꦓ and applies Hydro to enemies if you need it. Depending on rotation length and Sourcewater Droplet distribution, you may or may not be able to fit in a fourth Charged Attack.

Weapons

Tome of the Eternal Flow
Neuvillette’s signature weapon and best-in-slot by a significant margin. The only other weapon that comes reasonably close is R5 Sacrificial 🎃Jade.

Sacrificial Jade
The new battle pass Catalyst is the second-best option if you have access to it. At all Refinement levels, it outp🔯erforms the options below.

Prototype Amber / Favonius Codex
Prototype Amber is the generally recommended option if you don’t have the paid weapons. Favonius Codex often results in way more Energy Recharge than Neuvillette actually needs, but he can reliably proc it around two to three times in a rotation. The extra clear particles reduce the Energy Recharge needs of your entire tea🔥m, making it an extremely comfortable option.

Cashflow Supervision / Jadefall Splendor / Kagura’s Verity / Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds
If you happen to have these 5-star Catalysts🐈, then they are decent stat sticks. Prototype Amber still does better than most of these though, so don’t pull these weapons specifically for Neuvillette.

Artifacts

4pc Marechausee Hunter (4MH)
Neuvillette’s best set. He is able to reliably proc its 4pc effect with both his health drain during Charged Attacks 🍒or with his heไaling as he consumes Sourcewater Droplets.

4pc Heart of Depth (4HoD) / 4pc Nymph’s Dream (4ND) / 4pc Wanderer’s Troupe (4WT)
These sets aren’t quite as powerful as 4MH, but they’re serviceable. Use one of these i♛f you don’t want to farm for a 4MH set.

2pc combos
If all else fails, you can also just combine 2pc combos that grant HP, Hydro DMG B𝓀onus, or Normal/♔Charged Attack Bonus.

Artifact Stats

SandsGobletCirclet
HPHydro DMG
HP
CRIT Rate/DMG
HP

Neuvillette should generally shoot for about 130-160% Energy Recharge. With extra sources of Energy like Prototype Amber, Tome of th🦩e Eternal Flow, or Favonius Codex, this can be reduced to around 100-130%. The wide ranges are due to the wide variety of teams Neuvillette can fit into; try to aim for the higher end if possible.

Hydro DMG Goblets and CRIT Circlets are optimal, but you can also use HP main stats if they end up with🐭 great substats.

Neuvillette’s stats in general should focus on CRIT and HP. Elementa🧔l Mastery can be nice in Nilou Bloom teams, but it should not be a pri💟ority. ATK is not useful for him at all.

Teams

Neuvillette can fit into any team that can accommodate a Hydro on-field DPS, which leaves a lot of room for creativity! Here are some of Neuvillette’s best team archetypes. Feel free to adjust🙈 according to your preferences!

  • Neuvillette – Fischl/Yae Miko – Kazuha – shielder
Fischl and Yae Miko are both potent off-field DPS units who enable this unique Electro-Charged setup. Kazuha buffs both Hydro and Electro and deals considerable damage himself. Most importantly, they allow for flexible rotations, letting Neuvillette switch in and out as necessary. The shielder can be anyone who can provide interruption resistance. If Neuvillette is C1, feel free to swap out your shielder for another off-field DPS.
  • Neuvillette – Nahida/Dendro Traveler – Kuki/Raiden – shielder
Neuvillette can function as the Hydro source to enable a Hyperbloom team. Kuki Shinobu and Raiden should be built with full EM to maximize Hyperbloom damage. The shielder can be anyone who doesn’t interfere with reactions. Notable examples are Zhongli, Diona, Kirara, and Layla.
  • Neuvillette – Nilou – Yaoyao/Baizhu – Dendro flex
As a Hydro unit, Neuvillette can be used in Nilou Bloom teams with two Dendro units of your choice. One of the Dendro units should be a healer to offset self-damage from Blooms. Nahida is the best Dendro flex, but you can also use Dendro Traveler, Collei, Yaoyao, or Baizhu.
