Best Legacy of Phrecia Event League Starter Builds

There are plenty of builds from past leagues that will work as league starter builds during the Legacy of Phrecia event in PoE, but we’ve selected five of the best builds that take advantage of the alternate ascendancies while still having the potential to expand into the end game. Keep in mind most of these builds are somewhat experimental as we don’t have access to these alternate ascendancies yet. Here are the best Path of Exile Legacy of Phrecia event league starter builds:

Daughter of Oshabi Poison Deonate Dead Spellslinger

For many leagues, the Ranger class has been spectacular for league starter builds. This build utilizes the Daughter of Oshabi ascendancy with Spellslinger and Detonate Dead of Chain Reaction to quickly start dealing a massive amount of damage. You’ll start by leveling with Poisonous Concoction (Pconc) until you reach Merc Lab and then you will switch to the actual build. The Oath of the Magi node for Daughter of Oshabi will provide much of the needed defenses to level into the end-game, allowing you to focus your gearing on damage output. This is a great build for players looking for a Ranger build that has the potential to scale insanely well into the end-game even after the league start.

Recommended Build Guide:

Lightning Strike Blind Prophet or Surfcaster

If you’re looking for a strong Shadow league starter build, you can’t go wrong with Lightning Strike. This build allows you to go with either the Blind Prophet or Surfcaster alternate ascendancy, though you will probably want to start as Blind Prophet and then respec to Surfcaster once you’ve acquired the unique ring Nimis. This is going to be one of the safest and most dependable league starter builds in the Path of Exile Legacy of Phreꦑcia event, and can even scale well into end game.

Recommended Build Guide:

Earthshatter Ancestral Commander

Players looking for a powerful melee option should consider Earthshatter Ancestral Commander, one of the ascendancies for Marauder in the Legacy of Phrecia event. If you’re looking to play hardcore during the event, this is the league starter build for you. Ancestral Commander is unique compared to the other alternate ascendancies because while most of them focus on damage, Ancestral Commander has both defensive and offensive nodes making it the ideal option for someone looking to not die.

Recommended Build Guide:

Frost Blades Gambler

The Gambler alternate ascendancy during the Legacy of Phrecia event is an appealing option due to it being based around, well, luck. For example, here’s some of the nodes for Gambler: Spectacular Parlay – Your critical Strike Chance is Lucky, Damage with Hits is Unlucky. Heads – Chance to Block Spell Damage is Lucky, Chance to Block Attack Damage is Unlucky. The ascendancy is built around essentially gambling to have an insanely high ceiling potential, and this Frost Blades build looks to make the most of it. This is an ideal build for someone looking to try something different that has the potential to be the highest damage output during this event.

Recommended Build Guide:

Zombie and Skeleton Herald

It wouldn’t be a solid selection of league starter builds without one focused on minions, which is where this Zombie and Skeleton Herald build comes into play. The Herald ascendancy for Witch is built around the Herald buffs in Path of Exile, which also affect your minions. If you’re looking to play a minion build, Puppeteer for the Templar is also a solid option, but the increased power of heralds should make this an absolute monster of a build for those looking to use minions in the Legacy of Phrecia event.
