Best skills in Black Myth: Wukong

Destined one to OP one.

When you start leveling up in Black Myth: Wukong, you’re given sparks, or skill points to put onto new skills in the game, but which are the best? If you want strong skills to use to turn the tide in battle, check out what we think are must-haves.

Navigating through the skill trees and various menus can be jarring too, given how extensive each one can be. We’ll break each skill down and where they originate from starting from the initial menu.

Best skills in Black Myth: Wukong

To start, we’re going to the Foundation menu to see which of the three trees are worth putting any points into. The order will go from left to right, highlighting the best skills from each section.

Foundation

Stamina

The whole tree is worthꦦ speccing into. Other than the Focused Breath ability on the left, everything here is too valuable to pass up.

Martial Arts

Most of the left section of the tree in this section is worth g𒉰etting as you’ll get an attack boost to your light attacks. This applies to other stances when using them 🌊as well.

Survival

This whole section is purely based on player preference. Ho𝄹wever, I personally recommend anything dealing with Stamina, Critical, and Fou🥀r Banes resistance.

Staff Stances

In the Staff Stances meꦰnu, you will focus mostly on increasing the utility and damage output of your heavy attacks. To start off, 🎶try leveling into the abilities on the left as follows:

  • Exhilaration
  • Instinct
  • Versatility
  • Secondary Damage

These will all not be available to you right away or will require you to further level up the other trees to 🔯meet the level thresholds to the left of the general stats.

As for the rest of the Staff Stances, it’s best to focus on one and upgrade them all the way. Do🐽ing so will give you better stamina management for those specific stances and make better use of stored Focus Points.

Smash Stance is more for general combos, Pillar Stance is for more methodical plܫay, and Thrust Stance is for more defensive and ranged play.

Do☂n’t mix and match them until you have enough poiܫnts to go into other trees.

Mysticism

Heading over to your first ability that you get in-game, Mysticism will be the ability you cast when holding your “On-hands” button with your Light Attack button. Spec into this when you can.

Immobilize

Everything on the Immobilize tree is worth sinking your skill points into. The last skill, Time Bargain, is especially good for boss battles where they can oftentimes break 🔴out of this a lot quicker than normal enemies.

Ring of Fire and Spell Binder ꩲare decent, but Immobilize is still overall the best skill of🎶 the three.

Alteration

Next, we’re on the spell that gives you the option between Cloud Step and Rock Solid. The superior choice is Cloud Step for its evasiveness and stagger potential from the Unveiling Strike attack.

Cloud Step

Everything in Cloud Step is also worth using. Level this up as more tale🎃nts are unlocked further down the tree.

Strand

Strand is basically y🥂our ultimate ability. You ♏will only unlock one tree here.

A Pluck of Many

Once again, getting every skill is worth it in this tree, especially for tough bosses. A Pluck of Many is a mana𒊎-hungry move and is only ever used when you’re really struggling.

Transformations

This one is more of aꦺ variable based on which Transformation you use. However, for the sak𝓰e of versatility, choose these to start:

  • Cold Edge
  • Evergreen
  • Might Fortification
  • Hidden Might
  • Ferocious Form
  • Might Reserve

It’s better to learn dodging and countering techniques during your Transformations while focusing on duration and attack output so that you can destroy 🍌your enemies faster.

All of this is🍨 assumed that you have the points to put into the afore✤mentioned skills and you’re far enough in the game to unlock them.
