It’s worth remembering that while there are mods that will work on the Android version of Stardew Valley, they can be a little unstable, as they’re often designed specifically for the PC version. The best way to tell if a mod is compatible with the Android version of Stardew Valley is by heading to the “Files” tab on 𓄧NexusMods and looking for a file specifically labeled for Android. 

How to install Stardew Valley mods on Android

Before you can install any mods for Stardew Valley, you’ll need to download SMAPI. This is the program through which most Stardew Valley mods are implemented, including all of thosไe I’ll list in just a little bit. 

💟🐎To install SMAPI on your Android device, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the and download the APK file
  2. Locate the APK file in your device’s “Downloads” folder
  3. Tap on the file to run it, confirm permissions, and select “Install”
  4. When installation is complete, select “Update” and finalize the installation of the latest version.

O🐬nce you’ve got SMAPI up and running, you’ll now be able to search for mods that you want to install. Here’s how:

  1. Open up SMAPI and navigate to the “Help” tab
  2. Select “Nexus” to be taken directly to NexusMods in your device’s browser
  3. Find the mod you want to install and select “Manage Download”
  4. Find the correct file (preferably one specifically for Android) and download it
  5. When downloaded, locate the file in your downloads and transfer the zipped file to the Mod folder, which can be found at the following location:
    1. Internal Storage > Stardew Valley > Mods
  6. Restart SMAPI and make sure that the downloaded mod is available in the “Config” tab to confirm installation.
