Bethesda is sending one lucky Starfield fan to witness the Lonestar space launch

Watch the launch live from the Kennedy Space Center.

Regardless of how you feel about the game, Starfield at least offered something a bit different from Bethesda that wasn’t under the Elder Scrolls or Fallout umbrella. And it scratched that sci-fi, space-faring itch when we weren’t engrossing ourselves in No Man’s Sky.

Now, if you really want to experience the awesome spectacle of space exploration, Bethesda is giving away the chance to see one up close. As noted in a recent , you could be the lucky winner who will get a chance to take a trip to the Kennedy Space Center to watch Lonestar’s upcoming Freedom Mission launch to the moon.

The launch will take place on February 26 and꧂ will give one person (plus a guest) the opportunity to rub elbows with astronauts and others in attendance.

Moony McMoonFace

As if that wasn’t enough, the winner will also have the chance to transmit their own message to Earth’s moon. Now, we all know that giving people on the internet the opportunity to deliver something special to the population is typically a recipe for disaster (or hilarity), so it stands to reason that this message will be massively vetted and made appropriate before launch.

Here’s everything the winner will receive:

  • A flight to and from Orlando, Florida
  • A hotel accommodation in Orlando, FL, for the duration of the trip
  • One Day Pass for the Kennedy Space Center on launch day
  • Access to view the Freedom Mission launch

The mission itself is a chance for Lonestar to send the first-ever data center to the moon “for the future of humanity.”

Sadly, according to the competition rules, it’s only eligible for people who live in the US. If you do qualify to enter, you can fill out , which is also where you will get to suggest what message you’d like delivered. The sweepstake ends February 13 at 12 pm ET. Make sure you check the before entering.
