Better late than never: Lair gets analog controls

You remember the big stink the SIXAXIS control scheme of PS3’s Lair caused, don’t you? Gamers and reviewers were frusturated with the motion-only control, as analog control was not provided as an option. When the title was rated by the gaming press, it recieved mostly negative marks because of this lack of control options.

Now it seems that analog control is coming in an update. says that Sony Japan provided first details today on a free update for Lair, a♊nd analog control is l🀅isted among the update items. On top of this, DualShock 3 rumble support and a targeting icon have been added.

That’s not all: Sony will offer a free download that permits use of Wind Dragon and Poison Dragon in any stage, and some free Lair-themed PS3 themes will be offered as well.

These downloads will be available in Japan on the 17th, and IGN guesses that we’ll see them at the same time.
