Sometimes, you don’t want to watch lengthy conversations about lore and the art of war: and just want to blow up some mechs. We’re here for you, I know how you feel. Here’s how to skip cutscenes in Armored Core 6 and get right to the action.
Skipping cutscenes is as easy as mashing start
When a cutscene is being played, press any button. See that little icon on the lower right-hand corner of the screen? That’s what you need to press to skip cutscenes. Traditionally known as the “start” button, on PS5 it’s called the “options” button, and on Xbox it’s the “menu” button – press that and you’re good to go. Yes, I’m still incredibly annoyed by this split nomenclature. The retro generations had it right!
As soon as you press the button, the cutscene will skip, and you’ll instantly be whisked away to another cutscene (which you can subsequently skip), a loading screen, or the start of a mission, where you can control your mech. Note that you can skip “pre-mission” chatter, which usually provides the stakes or a short comment on what you’re about to get into; as well as in-mission cutscenes.
What can’t you skip in Armored Core 6?
In Armored Core 6, text-based conversations cannot be skipped. These typically happen between missions after you unlock new content, as the “Allmind” system explains what new mechanics you’ve acquired as a result of progressing in the campaign.
You can mash the confirm button (A on Xbox, X on PlayStation) to get through this quickly, but you c🧔annot fully/instantly skip them.
