Capcom is listening to requests for a Dragon’s Dogma sequel

Dark Arisen PC port feedback matters

We’re a week out from the PC release of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. Capcom also has the free-to-play Dragon’s Dogma Online (in Japan, anyway) for PC, PS3, and PS4. What are the odds we’ll get a full-fledged sequel? Better than I would’ve thought even a year ago.

Nothing’s confirmed yet, but Capcom is listening. Producer Minae Matsukawa told that “development team members often talk about the possibility of a sequel. We’d love to hear the opinions and feedback from players of the upcoming PC port of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, as that will increase the chances that we can look into the possibility of continuing the series.”

My intuition tells me the port is going to do quite well for the company. It should be at home on PC. As to why Dark Arisen is only now releasing on the platform (it debuted on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2012!), PC producer Jon Airhart said this was “something we had been planning for some time.” From the sound of it, fan requests had an impact on the team getting approval.
