Full Lower Erisia Area Guide in Deepwoken
If you’ve checked out our beginner’s guide to Deepwoken you already have the basics down. Now you can move on to Lower Erisia for farming Power-ups, gear, and even score some of the best early Talents in the game. I recommend reading the early farming guide and stopping Voidwalkers sections first before moving on to the rest.
Best Deepwoken Farming Guide Early
The best way to get great early gear, notes, and Power-ups is actually around Lower and Upper Erisia by farming small islands that spawn:
- Get a boat at the docks following the “Set Sail” quest and go towards Lower Erisia, but don’t land on the main island. Instead, sail around it as shown on the map and look for small islands that spawn randomly.
- They spawn randomly and come in many varieties like a small island with ruins or trees, a coral-themed one, a rocky one, or a building or two. They’re usually filled with low-level bandits, zombies, or monsters.
- Aggro a few of them on your ship and wait for them to swim to you while hitting them from the boat until they drown. Then, clean up the rest of the island.
- You’ll find two or three chests full of equipment, weapons, armor blueprints, and treasures. I recommend equipping what you can and selling the rest at the Antiquarian.
- Repeat this a few times, Power up with training gear, and I recommend depositing your spare Notes at the Bank so you don’t lose them on death.
Using this method, you can easily reach Power 5 or more with decent gear so that you can move on to Lower Erisia. But first, let’s turn off Voidwaไlkers.
How to Turn Off Voidwalkers for Lower Erisia
Voidwalkers are bounty hunters similar to invaders from Dark Souls that will endlessly teleport in and attack you on Lower Erisia. This happens because, by default, you’ll have a negative reputation with their faction called The Knives of Eylis. We can raise this reputation and turn off Voidwalkers through a ship battle event that༺ spawnsไ around Lower Erisia and stop Voidwalkers from teleporting to you. Here’s how:
- Sail around Lower Erisia until you see two ships in combat (Etrea vs Knives of Eylis).
- Board the ships and start killing the Etrean guards dressed in purplish/cyan outfits.
- Once they’re all dead, repeat this event a few times, and eventually, you’ll gain a reputation boost with The Knives of Eylis. This will pop up on your screen with a message saying something like The Knives of Eylis don’t see you as worth fighting anymore.
- This will stop the majority of Voidwalker attacks on you as you progress through Lower Erisia.
Alternatively, you can play on a server with no players but note that if Voidwalkers do join that server, they’ll most li🌳kely invade you.
How to Get the Airdash in Deepwoken (Aerial Assault Talent)
There are two quests I recommend you complete on Lower Erisia to gain access to the Airdash and a few othe🌟r useful talents. The f൩irst one is for the Airdash. Get a glider and do the following:
- Enter Lower Erisia from the point marked on your map that leads to the main stone gate.
- Go through the gate and head left into a poison cave. Watch out for both the damaging surface poison and the weak but numerous zombies.
- Keep heading through the cave and follow any platform that leads upwards until you reach Pathfinder’s Respite.
- In the center, talk to the NPC Ivory, who will give you a quest to reach the highest peak of Lower Erisia and interact with the purple flame there.
- Go back to the stone gate at the entrance of Lower Erisia and follow the path up the hill until you reach the Towerstruck Lands. Watch out for bandits along the way, which are a great source of XP to Power up.
- In the Towerstruck Lands you need to climb upwards until you reach a stone bridge I marked on the map below.
- Cross the bridge, and follow the path to the left until you reach Upper Erisia and find two trees leading up to a mountaintop. Climb these trees one from the other and cross the mountaintop until you find a broken-down bridge.
- Climb one of the nearby pillars and use Glider to get to the other side.
- You’ll reach the Temple Courtyard area where you need to enter the large Temple. Be careful not to get spotted by the Watcher here and just run toward the temple entrance.
- Interact with the purple flame inside.
- Head back to Ivory to unlock the Aerial Assault/Airdash talent. I would glide down from a nearby cliff.
You can also get the Blin♍dseer Oa💞th here in the Temple but more on that below.
Best Talents on Lower Erisia
In addition to getting the Aerial Assault Airdash talent above, there are also two more talents I recommend💫 you get on Lower Erisia. Here’s how:
- You need to reach Towerstruck Lands as we did above by starting from the main entrance into Lower Erisia that’s marked on the map.
- Follow the path from the main entrance up the hill, and you’ll eventually reach the Towerstruck Lands.
- Once you reach them, follow the walls to your left from the entrance until you can drop down to a lower level where there’s a cave.
- You’ll find Arthur in front of the cave, speak to him and accept his quest to kill the Megalodaunt.
- You can find the Megalodaunt by reaching the end of the cave in front of Arthur. Again, watch out for the poison on the ground and travel via platforms.
- At the end of the cave, once you reach the Megalodaunt, I recommend fighting him by parrying his swipes and Dash dodging the unblockable kick. Attack only after he swipes twice or you dodge a kick.
- Once you kill the Megalodaunt, head back to Arthur to get the Engage and Critical Attack talents that greatly restore your Ether and Posture in combat.
How to Get Blindseer Oath on Lower Erisia
Oaths are powerful additions to your build and a superb supportive and utility Blindseer Oath can be found on Lower Erisia. It’s all about healing, disabling M🐭antras and Invisibility for enemies, and firing off powerful blasts of energy. Here’sꦑ how to get it:
- Follow our Airdash guide above to get to the Temple at the top of the Towerstruck Lands.
- Once inside the Temple, go through the passage to the left.
- Here, you’ll find an engraved message that you can interact to become a Blindseer if you meet the following requirements:
- 40 Willpower.
- The Talents Breathing Exercise, Conquer your Fears and Disbelief.
- Have either the Blinded Talent, Blind Flaw, or wear Blindfolds that you can find as a drop anywhere around Lower Erisia.
The Blindseer Oath will negate all debuffs from the Blinded talent. You’ll also have perfect vision with increased brightness. Pr𒐪ogressing Blindseer for new Mantras is donಌe by helping players with no Oaths in the Depths Trial.
Lower Erisia Tips in Deepwoken
Lastly, here are some tips for Lower Erisia:
- Merchant Ships: If you need to sell gear look for Merchant ships that spawn randomly on the sea around Lower and Upper Erisia. You’ll spot them since they spawn alone and have blue sails.
- Purple Orb Artifacts: You’ll come across Purple Orb artifacts in the water when sailing around Lower Erisia. You can swim up to these, pick them up, climb back to your boat, and take them back to the Bank for a grand reward of Notes and Gear. Just be careful of other players since they’ll see the glowing light from the Orb.
- Whirlpools: Watch out for these around the island because if you get too close they’ll drag you into the Depths automatically.
- Bandit Camp Farm: There are a few bandit camps that you can farm while heading up from the main Lower Erisia entrance up to the Towerstruck lands.
- Warrior’s Respite and 15 Fortitude: Get 15 Fortitude ASAP and pick up the Warrior’s Respite talent on a Power Up which will help you heal without a campfire.
