Destiny 2 Starcat location guide – Week 7

Looks like the Starcat is finally out of the bag.

While there still may be a lot of Destiny 2‘s Season 23 left before The Final Shape releases, the seasonal narrative is winding down. Now, in Week 7, Season of the Wish is setting up the finale that will lead into the next expansion. And while Destiny narrative is always a draw, Week 7 also adds another adorable little Starcat for players to🦩 track down.

Over the course of Season 23, Starcats made their way into Destiny. More of these interstellar kitties show up with each passing week, hiding within Season of the Wish activities and locales. While the number of these feline visitors varied from week to week, Week 7 would mark the final Starcat entering the game. That is, of course, minus the glitched Starcat fro♔m Week 5.

If Guardians are missing some of the Starcats that have appeared in-game, there’s no need to worry. Each Starcat from Week 1Week 2Week 3Week 4Week 5, and Week 6 are still aꩲvailable to rescue. All are now available except for the Cell of the Sycophant Starcat.

As with some of the other weeks during Season 23, the Week 7 Starcat is located within Riven’s Lair. Normally, that means players would need to complete the Riven’s Lair activity or The Coil. Players are specifically looking for the Astral Cloister within Riven’s Lair, and the activities guarantee nothing. However, there’s another, better way.

The Week 7 story mission, Chiasmus, will actually assure passage to the Astral Cloister and make it very easy for players to nab the Starcat. After starting the mission and heading through one of Riven’s portals, Guardians will enjoy a jaunt, eventually leading to the Astral Cloister. There, Guardians will be in front of three domed structures. The structure on the right side has a large statue next to it, and the Starcat is in front of this statue.

If players don’t get the Starcat from Chiasmus for whatever reason, the Astral Cloister can still be reached during Season 23 activities. That said, it’s a little tougher to nab the Starcat using this method. Reaching the Astral Chamber through activities spawns players on the other side of the expanse. An attempt to rush toward the domed structures will only teleport Guardians back to their allies. If players find themselves in this situation, they’ll need to wait until the room is complete and then make for the Starcat before starting the next chamber.

Where does the Week 7 Starcat go?

After Guardians recover each Starcat, the little travelers will make their way back to the H.E.L.M. There, they take up a permanent residence, finding joy in the hub’s various nooks and crannies. Some playfully knock around bottles while others stare listlessly out of windows. In any case, the little friends are a welcome addition to the space.

Of course, if players aren’t finding the Starcats, it could be because they’re not there yet. These little felines only arrive in the H.E.L.M. after Guardians claim the associated Triumph in the Secrets section of the Season of the Wish tab.

The Astral Cloister Starcat enjoys solitude, as we’re led to believe from its Triumph description. So, aptly, it tracks that this feline looms over everyone else in the H.E.L.M. alone. This Starcat is near the War Table, on top of the stack of computer equipment being tended to by Vanguard frames and Techeuns. The Starcat is huddled in a corner against the wall.
