Disney Dreamlight Valley: Uncanny Romance quest guide

In Disney Dreamlight Valley, Sally’s level two friendship quest, Uncanny Romance, is all about mending relationships. You’ll help Sally reconnect with Jack Skellington through a special date, as it’s been a while since the two have spent quality time together.

Uncanny Romance quest guide

After reaching level two friendship with Sally and unlocking Daisy and Minnie as villagers, you’ll officially begin the Uncanny Romance quest. She wants to spend time with Jack Skellington, with you expressing eagerness to get her “gothic groove” back on. The solution? Some Deadly Nightshade.

Growing some Deadly Nightshade

During your conversation with Sally, she’ll suggest planting and harvesting some Deadly Nightshade. Although the location doesn’t matter, I planted them in the Forgotten Lands since that felt the most fitting.

Fortunately, you won’t have to wait long; they’ll be ready to collect after 15 minutes. While she suggests not grabbing them with your bare hands, you have Dreamlight magic, so this advice doesn’t apply to you.

After 15 minutes have passed, harvest the Deadly Nightshade before returning to Sally. She’ll thank you and express her excitement about making some perfume to raise her confidence. It’s time to go find Jack.

Fixing Sally’s sewing needle

While Sally is getting ready, it’s time to chat with Jack Skellington about the upcoming date. He’ll immediately show you some flint he discovered, which he plans on gifting to Sally. How charming.

However, you admit that she’s feeling a bit uneasy about the date. Thankfully, Jack has an inkling of what’s up and thinks she lost her favorite sewing needle. Head back into the world and find some Night Shards or craft them with Onyxes before returning to Jack again.

Once you and Jack make her a new needle, watch the two reunite as they discuss the gift. The conversation ends up going south, stressing Sally out and leaving her wondering what’s going on. You offer to help the two out by seeking advice from other villagers who are knowledgeable about reconnecting with their romantic partners.

That’s right. It’s time for a chat with Minnie Mouse and Daisy.

Preparing Jack and Sally’s picnic

After brief chats with Minnie and Daisy, they both suggest making some Halloween-themed food and decorating the Valley a little spookier. You’ll need to cook the following foods:

• Halloween Gingerbread Cookies
• Caramel Apples

Alongside this, you’ll also decorate the Forgotten Lands with the following items:

• The Holiday Tree-Portal
• Outdoor Furniture (2)
• Halloween Furniture (3)
• Black Furniture (4)

First, Minnie and Daisy will provide the two recipes. For the cookies, you’ll need wheat, pumpkins, and ginger, while caramel apples need apples and sugarcane. You shouldn’t have too much trouble grabbing these as long as you have the Forgotten Lands, Dazzle Beach, and Peaceful Meadow open.

Next up is decorating the Forgotten Lands with some spooky furniture. If you have the Holiday Tree-Portal from Jack Skellington’s introduction quest in another biome, you’ll need to move it here. Otherwise, you can place it down as usual. If it’s already placed down but isn’t giving you credit toward the quest, pick it up and place it down again.

Next up is some Halloween-themed and outdoor furniture. You have plenty of creative liberty with this one and can use the furniture menu filters to pinpoint some to use. If you’re unsure what to place, you can also randomly place some items down until the quest objectives activate.

Similar to before, you may also have to pick up and replace a few items if they fit the theme but don’t activate the quest task.

Once you have decorated the Forgotten Lands with 🦹some special decorations, bring everything to Sally to begin the picnic. She and Jack will reattempt their date, which goes way smoother than before.

Sally is thrilled to have a successful second date but wants to enjoy it even more by putting down a Halloween picnic kit. She’ll give you the kit, which you’ll need to place somewhere near the Holiday tree. If the area is cramped, you may have to pick up a few items.

Once you take one last picture of Sally and Jack, talk to her about the experience to wrap up Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Uncanny Romance quest.
