Dit It Shovel Progression Guide

DIg your way to the best Shovel

Want to get the best Shovel fast in Dig It? You’re in the right place. Even though the game is very straightforward, there’s a lot of extra fluff you can skip. In this guide, we’ll tell you which Shovels you should focus on getting from the moment you just start playing all the way to the late game.

How progression works in Dig It

In Dig It, your Shovel is your progression. The better your Shovel, the more you are worth as a junkrat or digger, if you prefer. On each island, you have a number of Shovels. Each of these costs a set amount of moneyꩵ and needs a specific level.

Before you ask, NO, you really don’t need to buy every Shovel in the game. You essentially need to get just four of them (five if you count t𓄧he tutorial one), after which you can usually move🎶 to the next island.

Nookville – Superior Shovel

After you spawn on your first island, Nookville, and finish the tutorial quest, start working towards the Superior Shovel. You’ll need to buy the Rookie Shovel for one of the tutorial quests, but afterwards, just start saving money for the Superior one.

You can do some quests along the way, but essentially, just sell items, level up, and work towards getting 4,000 Doolars. One thing we DON’T RECOMMEND is using the Loot Pit. While it might sound exciting to risk it all for a chance to win a valuable item, you’ll mostly just make the entire digging process longer. So, steer clear of the Loot Pit until much later in the game. Afterwards, buy the basic Boat (the one for 1,000 Doolars) and sail towards Piratesburg.

Piratesburg – Industrial Shovel

Once you arrive at Piratesburg, start digging with your Superior Shovel and dig until you get 18,750 Doolars (you’ll also need to be level 12) and grab the Industrial Shovel. With the Industrial shovel, start digging around Piratesburg and make yourself comfortable because you’ll be here for a while. Try to get as much money as you possibly can while you work on reaching levels 30 – 35. You can still do quests but don’t make them a priority. Just focus on digging and earning as much money as possible, preferably around 70,000 Doolars.

Lunar Shovel

Instead of buying the new shovel, you’ll need to take part in the Lunar Clouds event. Essentially, while you are digging around Piratesburg, wait until you see a notification saying that the Lunar Clouds event has begun. When you see this, look over to the sea and try to spot a floating cloud with a bunch of smaller clouds as platforms. Sail there and take part in the event with other players, and you’ll get the Lunar Shovel. This one should hold you until you get the last and best Shovel in the game. You should also try to earn around 250,000 Doolars before the next part.

Meteor Shovel

Just like with the Lunar Shovel, you’ll get the best Shovel in the game through an event, and this time it’s the Meteor event. With your Lunar Shovel, make your way to Permafrost island, and start digging until you reach level 55 – 60. Once you hit those levels, keep an eye out for the events. Once the Meteor event starts, head there now (it will be marked on the map just like𓃲 the Lunar Clouds). Take part in the event and at the end, if you have enough money, you should get the Meteor Shovel, the best o🌸ne in the game. With this, you can pretty much tackle every single challenge the game throws at you, at least until a new update rolls around.

That’s all there is to it. Have fun digging and selling junk in Dig It and enjoy the thrill of discovery. If you haven’t already, check out our Dig It codes for some in-game freebies.
