It was unclear whether Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, the upcoming fighting game, would include local multiplayer. Those rumors have now been seemingly laid to bed, as the local multiplayer gameplay functionality was sp✨otted by Twitter/X user SLOplays on the updated PS Store listing of the game🃏.
The rumors about local multiplayer’s abs﷽ence arose when the PlayStation and Steam pages listed it as a single-player game only with no mention of offline multiplayer. It was also earlier that game producer Jun Furutani said that local split-screen will not be present due to “issues relating to Sony and Microsoft.”
If the store page i🐻s believed, it looks like local multiplayer will be in the cards. Local multiplayer has been a staple mode in fighting games, and its absence would have been felt among fans.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a highly anticipated title among fighting games and Dragon Ball fans. The game has a packed roster, with many already confirmed as playable characters. It’s even more exciting that many of the characters are yet to be announced.
