The rumors about local multiplayer’s abs﷽ence arose when the PlayStation and Steam pages listed it as a single-player game only with no mention of offline multiplayer. It was also earlier that game producer Jun Furutani said that local split-screen will not be present due to “issues relating to Sony and Microsoft.”
If the store page i🐻s believed, it looks like local multiplayer will be in the cards. Local multiplayer has been a staple mode in fighting games, and its absence would have been felt among fans.
