I've got a complicated relationship with Project Zomboid, mainly because it takes such a ridiculously long time for new versions to be released. These new versions, though, are often the size of a veri?table sequel, and Build 42, in particular, is massive. Now, at long last, B42 is in closed beta.

It's hard to believe, but Project Zomboid made its way into Steam Early Access back in 2013, and it's been slow going from that point onwards. That's not necessarily a critique, granted, as the game definitely is the single most impressive and immersive RPG zombie survival title on the market. Yet, Build 42 in particular has been a very long time coming, with the current Build 41 having released in 2021. According to the developer Indie St?one, the first batch of tester feedback on B42 is now in, a??nd the studio's latest blog post on Steam says that "their first impressions have been positive. Which has been a relief."

Beta testers are very happy with Project Zomboid's Build 42 so far

Indie Stone has iterated time and again in the aforementioned blog that the initial batch of feedback that's now been shared doesn't include extended survival sessions. Yet, it's hard not to get excited over some of these quotes if you've been keeping track of Zomboid for years. I highly recommend going through the blog proper to get p??roper context for some of the longer quotes, but here are a few excellent highlights:

"The empty road, felt really rural. Like how I’d expect to drive down my road both currently and in an apocalypse. Then I was just on my way out of Rosewood now, and because it was foggy, I accidentally stumbled into the prison, driving. Holy shit.? Outside is crazy, I cannot imagine inside. I barely got out the gate with my car. A true trailer ‘But I would never make it home�moment," said one beta player when discussing the improvements to the game's atmosphere.

Lighting and performance are getting huge upgrades in Project Zomboid's Build 42, and these are the bits I am most excited about. The quote featured above also riffs on the fact that the inter-city wilderness is now going to be used to generate micro-survival scenarios on the fly. Zombie grouping appears to be ??hu??gely improved as well:

"Probably t?he most [important] QoL change for me. It really makes the world feel more alive in a way. Instead of having zombies spread out everywhere and having to do the ‘lure away ball up�rinse and repeat just to get to an area, now it really feels like I can sneak around and explore areas while losing a group..." said one of the beta testers.

Players have also been very happy with Zomboid's new liquid handling system, door-opening animations, basements, the character trait rework, and the existing areas' wide-sweeping improvements. Build 42's feature-complete version is ?seemingly on the right track, according ??to Indie Stone's early bout of feedback.

All in all, then, this is the first time that a group of players has had the chance to play and offer impressions on Project Zomboid's next major iteration. To ?hear that the feedback is largely ve??ry positive is excellent news, and it's bound to bring back some hype into the community.

"As mentioned before we will also need feedback from more elongated play sessions �and far more contact with the huge new systems lik?e Crafting and Animal husbandry," says Indie Stone. There's still no release window for Build 42, then, but things are looking up at long last, and a tentative launch may be on the horizon.

When you first start out in BO6, you're locked out of many things, from weapons to e?quipment. However, ?the real challenge comes with the Prestige rank, which resets your progress back to square one. This means you have to earn a ton of XP all over again to unlock items.

To help you ease the grind, here's how to get XP and level up fast in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Fastest ways to level up in BO6

You can use the following techniques to level up fast in Black Ops 6:

• Use Double XP Tokens
• Take advantage of Double XP Weekends
• Use Scorestreaks like Scout Pulse, UAVs, and Counter UAVs
• Play objective-based modes such as Domination, Hardpoint, and Kill Confirmed
• Play Zombies mode
• Complete Daily challenges
• Equip Perks like Dispatcher and Bankroll

The Double XP Weekends are one of the best times for XP farming. These weekends, which are usually announced by Treyarch, offer double XP rewards for all your in-game actions. Fortunately, Treyarch has already confirmed one event for BO6's post-launch, so keep an eye out for it.

Black Ops 6 Double XP event release date

Play from Nov. 1 to 4 to earn 2XP, 2X Weapon XP, and 2X GobbleGum rewards. It'll make grinding much more accessible, with the possibility of rea??ching the Prestige rank by its end.

During the event, it's recommended that you play objective-based modes, which are known to provide way more XP than the others. Simply hold your ground at your pos??t, and you'll earn XP, even if you're just lying there.

Kill?? Confirmed is one of my favorite met??hods to level up fast. Eliminate opponents and pick up as many dog tags as possible, unlocking more Scorestreaks for the round. The more Scorestreaks you use, the more XP you'll gain.

The Scout Pulse is the easiest to trigger, as it only requires 400 point??s in a single life. The UAV and Counter UAV are also good streaks to hit, providing XP the entire time they're active. Additionally, you can equip the Dispatcher Perk to reduce the score cost for Killstreaks. It's best to pair? this Perk with Bankroll, which starts each life with a +150 score.

For those seeking a challenge, the Daily Challenges section is your arena. Tasks like getting 15 Headshots and killing?? five enemies with the Scrambler Field Upgrade? await. Achieve all three Daily Challenges to earn 5,000 XP for the day.

Besides the Daily Challenges, you can go on an even more formidable journey in Zombies mode. Sure, it'll be difficult to get through, but it's a great way to earn XP in BO6. The Liberty Falls and Terminus Main Quests, in particular, offer 5,000 XP to those who complete them. However, I will say that they are pretty time-consuming due to their ch?allenging series of tasks. You'll still acquire more XP with your attempts, earning you points with numerous zombie kills.

The Double XP Tokens are the last method you can use, but there have been few opportunities to acquire them. The primary way to get them is through promotional purchases, Little Caesars and Monster events. There may be more instances where Treyarch rewards XP Tokens for free. We'll likely see cases like this when Black Ops 6 Season 1 drops, as seasons have genera?lly offered free rewards.

What is the best way to level up fast in Black Ops 6?

The Double XP events, objective-based modes, and Zombies are the best places to level up fast in BO6. I've used the Zombies route the most, and it's helped me reach the higher ranks at an instant rate. It's also an easy way to level up a wide variety of weaponry. It's all because of the Pack-a-Punch upgrade, boosting the damage rates of any type of gun. PAP has even given me a bett??er grip on ??my barely-used weapons, including the sometimes hard-to-manage Pistols.

But if Zombies isn't your thing, you can always use Multiplayer's objective-based modes to farm a ton of XP,? especially on special events.

Certainly, the Steam Deck has largely dominat??ed my handheld gaming time after it came out. Yet, that's not to say a few other devices haven't made me peek, and Playdate has made me peek the hardest. Now, with Season ??2 games?? on the horizon, I'm properly intrigued.

The th??ing about Playdate, specifically, is that it stands out in a world where almost any modern device can play almost any video game. It's a fairly premium micro-handheld that comes with its unique suite of games that are (usually) controlled using the? crank found on the rightmost side of the device.

It's a novel concept if there ever was one, but the novelty doesn't stop there, as you don't get all of Playdate's games at once. Instead, Season 1 offerings are dropped into your game library one by one after a set period, and the company behind Playdate, Panic, has just confirmed that Season 2 is coming.

Playdate Season 2 is coming in 2025

"When Playdate was first revealed in 2019, one of the original dreams for the platform was to have all Playdate owners experience a season of mystery games tailored for the hardware at the exact same time," says Panic's announcement. "Due to a global pandemic, an unprecedented chip shortage, and the realities of shipping n??ew between 2020 and 2022, that did not come to be. Playdate Season 2 hopes to deliver on that original idea."

This means that Season 2 will be a proper iteration of Season 1's piecemeal handling of the ide?a, with new games releasing simultaneously across the globe for all owners of the Season 2 licensing. Unfortunately, we don't yet have any information on anything specific concerning Season 2: no pricin??g details, no developer information, and nothing on the games themselves.

Notably, Season 1 of games released for Playdate comes included with the base asking price of $199. This makes guessing Season 2's cost difficult. Similarly, if Season 1 is anything to go by, it may be a bit of a given that the games themselves will be a mixed bag.

While its quirkiness might suggest otherwise at a glance, Playdate has actually been a very successful release. To begin with, the device is still on back-order even today, and dropping $199 on it simply means you'll be added to the growing list of people waiting to get their crank on. Further, Playdate had moved about 53,000 devices in t??he Apr??il of 2023, which Panic didn't necessar?ily expe?ct would happen.

For those who don't necessarily subscribe to the concept of "seasonal" game rel?eases for the Playdate, there is currently a big sale running at the Playdate Catalog store. That's a good opportunity to stock up on some high-quality standalone titles, but remember?? that you've only got until November 14 to do so.

Apex Legends has always had a pretty serious problem with cheating, to the point where an average of about 100,000 accounts are banned monthly. According to developer Respawn Entertainment, Linux specifically is a hotbed for cheat?ing, and this includes the Steam Deck as well, which means it's got to go.

And, indeed, the Steam Deck is gone. You can no longer play Apex Legends on your Steam Deck if that was a thing you did up until now, but the good news is that Respawn has done this for its players' own good. In a very broad, generalized sense. "In our efforts to combat cheating in Apex," says Respawn, "we've identified Linux OS as being a path for a variety of impactful exploits and cheats. As a result, we've decided to b?lock Linux OS access to the game."

Respawn Entertainment is actually banning Linux, not just the Deck

This may seem particularly egregious if you've been enjoying Apex on the Deck, as the game has enjoyed surprisingly excellent support from Respawn on the handheld until now. It's even made its way onto Destructoid's list of top free games to p?lay on the Deck, and even had a 'Verified' badge on its store page.

As sad as this might be, Respawn's reasoning is sound: "I??n our efforts to combat cheating in Apex, we've identified Linux OS as being a path for a variety of impactful exploits and cheats," says the Steam blog post. "As a result, we've decided to block Linux OS access to the game. While this will impact a ??small number of Apex players, we believe the decision will meaningfully reduce instances of cheating in our game."

One might read this as an admission that there are more Linux cheaters than legitimate Steam Deck players enjoying Apex Legends on the device. As per Respawn, "There is currently no reliable way for us to differ??entiate a legitimate Steam Deck from a malicious cheat claiming to be a Steam Deck (via Linux)," which is indeed the case.

This isn't a?? temporary solution, either. "While the population of Linux users is small, their impact infected a fair amount of players�games. This ultimately brought us to our decision today," which impli??es the company isn't going to continue working to support Linux in any meaningful way.

Sadly, developers are slowly dropping support for Linux in situations where their games rely on a level and balanced playing field. A few months ago, EA WRC anno??unced it would no longer be p?layable on the Steam Deck, either, and I'm certain more will follow suit. As good and impressive as SteamOS is, it's clearly a pain to support for competitive titles, and so the Deck is being cut off. Oh, but hey, Sulfur is pretty darn great on the Deck, so I recommend it.

Memorize the symbols for an easier time raiding

Raids are back from the prior Pokemon generation, and they're a bit reworked in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. The raid battle mechanics are altered, and they're called "Tera Raids" now, after the new mechanic's namesake. When battling these raids you'll be able to pick up specific types of Tera types, which can completely change the loadout and ??efficac?y of your team. Here's how to make sense of it all.

What do the Tera Raid map symbols mean?

Although the game doesn't properly explain it, Tera Raid map symbols are indicated by seals, denoting various types of Pokemon (like fire, grass, and water).

These symbols showcase where you can find Tera Raid battles on the world map: so if you head to one (or mark it on your map as a destination), you can queue into a raid battle either offline or online, and take on the creature within (to capture or defeat for bonus items/XP). Glowing/flashing symbols indica?te higher-star ra?ids, including the Charizard even??t shortly after the game's launch.

When you encounter the Pokemon corresponding to a specific Tera Raid symbol, they will appear as that in battle. That means if you go up against this Weavile in our scr??eenshot, it will only have the attributes of a Dark type.

During its Tera form, a Pokemon can only have one type?. Since the Weavile in our example is a Dark ??type, it loses out on the ice aspect. It is no longer weak to Fire, Rock, or Steel. It will still be weak to Fighting but reduced, along with fairy types. This can be a benefit or a downside depending on the situation.

The Tera Raid symbols in Scarlet and Violet don’t necessarily have to correspond to a Pokemon’s standard type either. For example, this Tera Raid Gengar has a Normal-type Tera Form, meaning it now inherits the properties o??f ?Normal-type Pokemon.

It’ll still keep its Cursed Body ability, but it’s now susceptible to Fig??hting-type moves and unaffected by Ghost-type moves.

So, before you go into a Tera Raid battle knowing the silhouette of the Pokemon, yo??u should make note of the symbols as they can completely change the way the battle goes.

This includes when searching for a Tera Raid battle via th?e Poke Portal. First, take ??a look at the Pokemon’s silhouette.

Going back to the Gengar example, you’ll have?? a fairly good idea of what to expect when you battle it.

Though? it’ll have Normal-type properties, it’ll still have moves that a normal Gengar does. Because of it possibly having Ghost-type and Poison-type moves, you’ll ideally want to bring Pokemon that are resistant to or unaffected by these to stay alive. You’ll also want to bring those who can exploit the defensive weaknesses against the Tera Raid mons.

Compliments to ShadowFlame 11 on Reddit, you can find a full list of symbols belo?w. Note that these are the exact symb??ols the game uses on the in-game map when looking for Tera Raids.

While many of them are straightforward, it can be tough to recall all of the different types at any given moment. Try to memorize them while you consult the chart for now. If we had to vote for "oddest symbol," it would probably go to ground, but we can see how any given person would find the co??mbination of ground, ro??ck, and steel confusing.

There’s a lot of preparation when it comes to battling the Tera Raid Pokemon, but the?? payout is well worth it. Especially in the harder battles (5-star and up), the NPCs you choose instead of online?? randoms can start to falter.

Hopefully, with our Tera Raid type guide, you ca??n have a better understanding?? of how these battles work so you won’t end up missing a specific mon you want. These do rotate out now and then, so prepare and plan to create the ultimate team.

Ultimate Abilities in Dragon Age: The Veilguard acts as the personality of your subclass, but you won't be ?restricted to usi?ng the same one repeatedly.

Not only does the new Dragon Age RPG have a wide set of available choices for players, but you'll be able to unlock n?ew ones by just grinding out the game. To do so, you'll need to gain something called Skill Points, but before that, let's check out the complete list. This will give you a precise idea of all the options that you'll unlock as part of your selected class.

All Ultimate Abilities in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you'll be able to pick between three classes, and each of them has three fu??rther specializations. Each class has three Ultimate Abilities to unlock. Just like the classes themselves, the abilities work very differently fr??om one another.

While the following section includes the steps to unlock new abilities, they might not necessarily be better. For both the Mage and Warrior, the default options are m??ore than decent, and you can complete the game with them. That said, the specializations are useful scenarios, and allow you to try something different. Otherwise, you'll practically have to use the same ability throughout a single play through, which can feel pretty boring.

How to unlock Ultimate Abilities in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

As you proceed deeper into your adventures, you'll be able to unlock up to three different specializations. These choices will ??be entirely based on your class. When you unlock a specialization, you'll get a new Ultimate Ability. The Specializations can be viewed from inside the Skills menu. The Ultimate Ability will be placed in the second skill slot.

For starters, you'll need to gain plenty of skill points to unlock a Specialization. Once done, you can change the new Ultimate Ability with the one eq?uipped from inside the Character tab. Yo??u can always switch between your available options to mix how your class works in a battle to the maximum.

Even if you ha?ve multiple ones unlocked, you can only equip one Ultimate Ability at a given moment. If you want to change, always pay close attention to your enemies and co??mpanions alike. An ability, that works well with one companion, might not be as effective for another.

For fans of Final Fantasy XIV, there’s good news from today’s Live?? Letter 84 �the 7.1 Crossroads patch will be released on November 12, and it brings a whole new range of content to dive into, as well as some much-needed?? updates. 

As always, additional translations from today’s Live Letter are provided by Miuna over on the FFXIV Discord server. 

As the Live Letter did, let’s kick this off with the la?test trailer for patch 7.1:

Obviously one of the most awaited additions with Patch 7.1 is the continuation of the Dawntrail MSQ, which will continue until patch 7.3 according ?to Yoshida. The ongoing story will see us learn more about Sphene and Zoraal Ja, his son, and possibly the identity of his biological mother. 

There will also be a new dungeon added as part of the MSQ �Yuweyawata Field Station. Although not much was said about the dungeon itself, Yoshida said that it would be less challenging than the current Expert dungeons. However, they’ve done “something different�with the last boss which ma??y come as a surprise. Exactly what they've done remains to be seen, but this definitely sounds ominous, to say the least.

Coming in patch 7.1

Along with the additional MSQ quests, we’ll also have a lot of new content to dive into. Here??’s everything that’s comin?g in 7.1, and what we know about it thanks to today’s Live Letter:

Echoes of Vana’deil: Jeuno - The First Walk

We were given some in-game glimpses of Echoes of Vana'diel: Jeuno - The First Walk during the Live Letter, including some sneak peeks of the first boss, Prishe of the Distant Chain??s. Armed with huge fists and some interesting new mechanics, she’ll definitely be a challenge to take down, at least to begin with. 

We were also told that while the area is an Alliance Raid Dungeon, it will also serve as an event map, so players will be able to explore and take in everything. This means that we’ll also be able? to use the area for screenshots, which is definitely much appreciated because it looks stunning. 

The gear drops from the dungeon are pleasingly black, although they can also be dyed quite nicely. Yoshida said that they worked closely with the FFXI team to decide which job got which gear. 

As someone who never played Final Fantasy XI, it was reassuring to hear Yoshida say that while they were remaining true to the source, they also went out of their way to not leave players behind who aren’t so familiar with it. Another small detail that pays homage to FFXI is the fact that all enemy names will be ??displayed in English, even for Japanese players or others who use a non-English alphab??et.

Hall of the Novice: Training

We were shown a very in-depth demonstration of how the new Hall of the Novice: Training will work, and it comes with detailed descriptions of mechanics and the opportunity to take part in instanced battles to put your know?ledge to the test. This is incredibly useful for new players, and some old ones who might be a bit rusty.

PvP update

PvP will be undergoing something of an overhaul, with?? each job (except Pictomancer and Viper) losing actions and gaining new ones. Effects have also been updated so that damage will be deal??t when the effect goes off, rather than when the attack is executed.

Crystalline Conflict maps are also undergoing an update, with both Cloud Nine and Red Sands getting mor??e clutter and objects. Yoshi did mention that this makes the paths more narrow, so obstacles and attacks may not be so easily avoided in the future.

PvP Series 7 will? also begin with the implementation of patch 7.1 as well, bringing new rewa?rds on offer.

For patch 7.1 itself, there are also a couple of other things that will be add??ed:

Coming in further patches

Although the following things won’t be added as part of the main 7.1 patch, they will be added in smaller patches before 7.2. This does mean a little bit of a longer wait, but it also means we can spread out the experience and focus on one thing at a time. It's easy to get overwhelmed ??by content sometimes, so this is a good way to prevent that from happening.

Futures Rewritten (Ultimate)

The Ultimate Raid for Dawntrail, featuring both Ryne and Gaia all over again, wi??ll be added in patch 7.11. Yoshida did mention that players might enjoy the Ultimate more if they give themselves a refresher of the Eden storyline, so if you’ve not played those raids through in a while, now might be a good time. 

The Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic)

The Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) will be the first savage level difficulty 24-player content ever introduced to FFXIV, and it will be arriving one week a??fter the implementation of patch 7.15. We were given some in-game footage featuring Yoshida taking on the boss solo. Although he didn’t get far, and died pretty quickly to one of the newly ??revealed mechanics, it’s clear to see that the fight will definitely be a fun one. 

The Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures

Serving as something of a prologue to a brand new story arc for Hildibrand and co., the first Hildibrand quests for Dawntrail will be coming as part of patch 7.15. There's no telling what Hildibrand will be getting up to this time around, but commenters on the livestream commente?d that he looks too "handsome" and that it doesn't suit him. No??t sure if I agree, but to each their own.

If you are looking for a weapon that can provide you with all-round abilities like accuracy, least recoil, and fast fire rate, then you should definitely check out C9 in Black Ops 6. Ever since I switched from XM4 to C9, I have been getting more kills in Bo6. 

With that said, C9 is not as perfect as it seems, and it needs several attachments and perks to get the most out of it. To help you with that, here is a comprehensive guide to the best C9 loadout and build in Black Ops 6.

What is the best build for the C9 in Black Ops 6?

• Optic: PrismaTech Reflex
• Muzzle: Ported Compensator
• Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
• Magazine: Extended Mag II
• Fire Mods: Rapid Fire

I personally like the PrismaTech Reflex optic, but you can opt for an??y optic that suits your preferences. It’s fine to use any scope that you want until it hampers the handling of ??the weapon.

For Muzzle, I go for the Ported Compensator instead of just a basic Compensator because it reduces the first shot recoil and gives a solid gr??asp in vertical recoil control.

You can use the Reinforced Barrel as it boosts C9's damage range and bullet velocity. If you just started using this weapon, you ca??n suffice with the Long Barrel.

Always opt for a bigger magazine if the fire rate of the weapon is very high. In C9’s case, equip the Extended Mag II.

I find Rapid Fire personally best as?? it boosts the fire rate of the weapon. Since the game?? is fast-paced, I don’t want my weapon to be a slow poke.

ADSing is a term used in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 while explaining the Perk Tracker. However, it's a bi?t of jargon that isn't described in any manner in the game; here's what it actually means.

What exactly is ADSing in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6?

In short, ADSing means to "aim down sights" in a match. This could be with an assault rifle with an impressive optics setup or a sniper like the SVD. The term is brought up when the game describes the Perk Tracker??, which lets you see enemy footsteps and auto-ping enemies when you ADS them.

How to improve ADS

There are some attachments you can add to your assault rifle to make it gain a faster ADS. For example, the Flip Mag magazine increases your aim down sight speed (ADS), Reload Quickness, and Sprint to Fire Speed. Unfortunately, the Flip Mag also has a weakness as it decreases your firepower and Magazine Ammo Capacity. You can unlock the Flip Mag at Level 29 of the weapon XM4, just as an example. The Fast Mag II also impro??ves your Aim Down Sight Speed more dramatically.

Other ways to improve ADS are by equipping the Quickdraw Grip, Commando Grip, or Ergonomic Grip to your weapon's Rear Grip. The Hipfire to ADS Accuracy stat can also be increased by putting on the Strelok Laser but keep in mind that the laser is visible while you're aiming down. However, this might be helpful with an SMG KSV.

What decreases ADS?

Disappointingly, there are many attachments that can decrease your ADS as well. For example, the Extended Mag II gives you much more magazine ammo ?capacity but decreases your ADS, Reload Quickness, and Sprint to Fire Speed. The Exte?nded Mag III does this too to the ADS of your weapon but also slows down Reload Quickness, Sprint to Fire Speed, and Aim Walking Movement Speed.

At the beginning of your Fisch adventure, you'll be confined to the island of Moosewood, but once you reach level 10, you'll be able to buy a boat and, with it, roam the world freely! Each island has NPCs, some of which are general-purpose, like merchants and shipwrights, while others have ones that give you quests. You must have a GPS to see the coordinates, which you can buy for C$100 on the chair right next to the pond on Moosewood.

Moosewood

Moosewood is where your Fisch adventure begins, and it's located in the middle of the map. It hosts a few quest NPCs, the Gamepass board, the Appraiser, and so much more. Here is the full list of points of interest and essential NPCs at Moosewood:

• GPS â€?You can buy it at the pond for C$100.
• Pierre (390, 135, 200) â€?Issues tutorial quests.
• Phineas (470, 150, 275) â€?Issues you a quest that rewards 20 Bait Crates.
• Merchant (465, 150, 230) â€?Sells the Training Rod, Plastic Rod, Carbon Rod, Fast Rod, and the Lucky Rod.
• Appraiser (450, 150, 210) â€?Appraises your fish, changing its value. For more info, check out our Fisch appraisal guide.
• Lantern Keeper (655, 165, 260) â€?Sells you a lantern for C$1,000, which helps you navigate dark places.

Mushgrove Swamp

Mushgrove Swamp is to the northeast of Moosewood, in the top right corner of the map. It's where you'll find the Smokescreen Totem (2790, 140, -630), which changes the weather to Foggy, and Agaric, an NPC that will task you with catching an Alligator. As a reward, you'll receive the Fungal Rod. Fortunately, there is an Alligator abundance just next to him at 2665, 130, -710.

Roslit Bay

Roslit Bay is among the most important locations in Fisch. It's the best farming spot in the game, and there are multiple important NPCs, including the Orc, who can give you the Magma Rod. Here is the full list of non-generic NPCs and points of interes??t on the Ros?lit Bay:

• Blacksmith (-1515, 140, 760) â€?Sells the Fortune Rod, Rapid Rod, and the Steady Rod.
• Orc (-1850, 165, 160) â€?He trades you the Magma Rod for a Pufferfish. There is a Pufferfish abundance spot at -1435, 125, 460.
• Roslit Volcano (-1900, 165, 315) â€?Roslit Volcano bestiary location. Use the Magma Rod or the Reinforced Rod to fish here.
• Roslit Coral Area (-1565, 137, 600) â€?This and other spots with a lot of catch flags are the best places to farm in Fisch.

Snowcap Island

Snowcap Island is one of the better islands content-wise. There is the Windset Totem (changes the weather to Windy; located at 2850, 180, 2700), which requires you to do some parkour. Also, there is an NPC named Wilson (2940, 280, 2570) at the top of the main island that gives you a quest to find his rod. The rod (2880, 138, 2720) is in a cave at the base of the mountain, just behind him.

Statue of Sovereignty

Statue of Sovereignty is located between Moosewood and Sunstone Island. It's the only place on the map where you can enchant rods and also buy one of the best end-game rods in Fisch: Kings Rod (1375, -805, -300; within the Keepers Altar).

Sunstone Island

Sunstone Island is where you'll find Merlin (-930, 225, -990), an NPC who sells Enchant Relics (C$11,000) and 10-minute Luck VI Boosts (C$5,000). Also, you can buy the Sundial Totem (changes the day/night cycle) for C$2,000 in a secret cave (entrance is at -1215, 195, -1045). There are also some general and flavor NPCs.

Terrapin Island

Terrapin Island is a small grouping of islands southwest of Moosewood. There are two basic NPCs on this island: Angler and Shipwright. You can buy the Magnet Rod (-195, 130, 1930) at the Shipwright for C$15,000. You can also buy the Tempest Totem here for C$2,000. It's located in an underwater cave (the entrance is at 20, 110, 1860).

Harvesters Spike

Harvesters Spike is one of the best farming spots on the whole map in Fisch. Just off its coast, there is a great spot where many people grind (-845, 130, 1235). Besides?? that farming spot, there is not much ?here.

The Arch

The Arch is an okayish farming spot as there is a Rabbitfish abundance area (1050, 130, -1210) in the middle of it. Plus, there is an NPC called Caleia (980, 130, -1230), which sells Destiny Rod for C$190,000. To buy it, you'll need to have at least 70% of bestiary completion, though.

Birch Cay

Birch Cay is slightly northeast of the starting central island of Moosewood and has no important NPCs. It does have a mysterious bunker door, though there is no information?? on whether you can open?? it.

Haddock Rock

The Haddock Rock has nothing but huge Haddock and Halibut abundance areas around it. It's arguably the most irrelevant named point on the map in Fisch.

Earmark Island

Just east of Moosewood is the small island of Earmark, which sits between Mushgrove Swamp to the north and Snowcap Island to the south. It's completely unremarkable.

Vertigo

Vertigo is a secret map location in Fisch that you can enter by diving into a Strange Whirlpool (has a vertical pillar of light coming out of it). It hosts a unique bestiary and also a merchant (Synth) who sells one of the best mid-game rods: Nocturnal Rod. Also, there is a secret area where you can get a special title. Desolate Deep

The Desolate Deep is a special map location that came to Fisch with the Desolate Dwelling update. It has multiple sub-areas, including the Trident Rod altar, the Brine Pool, and a secret merchant area. Enchanting is by far the biggest money sink in Fisch, and unless you optimize it, you'll have no money to buy all the new rods and boats. Now, you can do that by knowing which enchants are best for each rod and keeping them when they pop up, and that's where our definitive Fisch Roblox rod enchant tier list will help you out.

Roblox Fisch Rod Enchants Tier List

In Fisch, rods can be grouped into two categories: those that are good for catching big fish and those that are good for catching small fish. In general, big fish rods benefit from Lure Speed and Luck-boosting enchants, such as Divine, Hasty, and Quality.

On the other hand, small fish rods benefit from Resilience, Control, and Progress Speed-buffing enchants, like Resilient, Controlled, and Steady. For more in-depth explanations of each enchant, including info on how to enchant your rod, see our Fisch rod enchant guide.

S Tier Fisch Rod Enchants

• Resilient â€?Resilient increases your Resilience by 35%, which is by far the most important stat when catching big fish. It's the best enchant for any Resilience-lacking rod in Fisch, such as the Mythical Rod, Trident Rod, and Reinforced Rod.
• Controlled â€?Controlled is arguably the second-best option for no-Resilience rods. It increases the bar size during the minigame by ~0.15, which is kind of huge.
• Steady â€?Steady increases your Progress Speed by 25%. It's similarly effective as Controlled, though Resilient is still better.
• Divine â€?Divine increases your Luck by 45% at all times, making it by far the best Luck-boosting enchant in Fisch. It works well with any rod that doesn't need extra Resilience but lacks Luck, namely Kings Rod and Steady Rod.
• Hasty â€?Hasty increases your Lure Speed by 55%, making it miles better than Swift. It's extremely good on rods that lack Lure Speed or can get it to 100%, such as the Kings Rod, Trident Rod (with Rapid Catcher bait), Magnet Rod, etc.

A Tier Fisch Rod Enchants

• Storming â€?Storming increases rod Luck by 95% during rain. If you plan to use the Tempest Totem constantly, it's actually the best Luck-boosting enchant in Fisch.
• Swift â€?Swift is not as good as Hasty, but sticking with it if you're low on Enchant Relics isn't bad at all.
• Quality â€?Quality gives a mix of stats that can benefit an already well-rounded rod, such as the Kings Rod. Still, Hasty, Resilient, and Divine outperform it.
• Sea King â€?Sea King increases the size of fish by 15%. It's really only good with the Kings Rod.

B Tier Fisch Rod Enchants

• Ghastly â€?Ghastly increases the chance of catching Translucent fish by 20%. It's effectively a 20% money boost.
• Lucky â€?Lucky increases your Luck by 20%. It's the worst Luck-boosting enchant in Fisch, but still not that terrible to use.
• Mutated â€?Mutated increases the chance of catching mutated fish by 7%. It's not as good as Ghastly for increased money, but it's useful if you want to catch various mutations.
• Insight â€?Insight increases your EXP gain by 50%. It can be useful early on, but as levels become irrelevant later, it falls off.
• Breezed â€?Breezed increases your Luck during windy weather by 65%. You can use it with the Windset Totem, but it's not as good as the Storming enchant.

C Tier Fisch Rod Enchants

• Blessed â€?Blessed increases the chance of caught fish being Shiny/Sparkling by 2%. It's fairly underwhelming compared to other money-making enchants in Fisch.
• Scrapper â€?Scrapper lets you keep 60% of the bait you use. If you're catching something extremely rare, you'll be more concerned with other stats than bait.
• Noir â€?Noir increases the chance of Albino/Darkened fish by 10%. Considering the overall fish value increase, it's pretty bad.
• Unbreakable â€?Unbreakable seems viable on some rods, but it actually isn't. If you need to catch something big, it's better to use the Kings Rod.

D Tier Fisch Rod Enchants

• Long â€?Long increases the line distance by 50 studs. It's absolutely useless.
• Wormhole â€?Wormhole is, without a doubt, the worst enchantment in Fisch. The fact that you can catch fish from random areas kills both farming and bestiary completion.

When to Stop Enchanting Your Rod in Fisch

When enchanting your rod in Fisch, it's best to stop when you start running low on Enchant Relics and get an S-tier, or an A-tier enchant. If you continue rolling, you might end up with something really bad like Wormhole, making your rod virtually unusable. So, even if you don't get the best enchant for your rod, make sure you walk out with a win.

In what will be very welcome news for players of Final Fantasy XIV, there is finally a release date for 7.1 Crossroads, and we don’t ?have long to wait - it’s coming on November 12. 

The announcement came as part of today’s Live Letter 84, during which we also had a lot of in-game sneak peaks of new content that will be coming with the patch. With Dawntrail having released on July ?2, i??t’s been a long four month wait for the new content that has been expected and teased ever since. ;

When patch 7.1 drops on November 12, there will be a selection of new content to take part in. Of course, the new MSQ and FFXI-themed Alliance Raid Echoes of Vana??’diel are definitely the things getting players most excited, but the following will also be added to keep us entertained until the next patch:

• Pelupelu Allied Society Quests
• Yuweyawata Field Station Dungeon
• Minstrel’s Ballad: Sphene’s Burden
• The Jade Stoa (Unreal)
• New Pandaemonium quest

Sadly, we were given no news of Shade’s Triangle or Cosmic Exploration, despite players in the East hav??ing been given updated screenshots and information regarding the two new bits of content at events such as Fan Festivals in both Korea an?d China. It seems we’ll just have to wait a bit longer before we finally get given some details over here in the west. 

We were, on the other hand, given details about a bunch of new content that players can dive into come November?? 12, as well as a new trailer that gives some hints about the direction tha?t the story of Dawntrail is heading in:

According to Yoshida, while the story of Endwalker was essentially finished in 6.0, they’re returning to their old method of keeping a story going for longer than a single patch, and Dawntrailâ€??™s story will contin??ue until patch 7.3. After that, we’ll start on a new story, although the same characters will likely be involved, and be off on a new adventure.

How does the Infected mode work in Call of Duty Black Ops 6

The Infected mode is Black Ops 6's own adaptation of one bad apple bringing down the rest (no, not literally). A game begins with any one player being designated as the Infected. The remaining players are all grouped as Survivors. The openi?ng distribution of a team takes place after the "Infection Occurs" timer reaches its countdown ?and is purely random.

The Infected aim to attack and infect the survivors, while the Survivors must avoid the attacks at?? all costs. At the end of a round, the group with the most members will be declared t??he winner.

Can you use weapons in the Infected mode in Black Ops 6

Whether you're an Infected or a Survivor, you'll have weapons to carry out you??r work. There's a slight difference, as an Infected can only use Melee weapons to hit a? Survivor. When an Infected player hits a Survivor, they will become an Infected.

Since the Infected don't have the luxury of ?range, they will have a second chance if hit by a Survivor. This can happen only once in a specific round and creates a unique challenge for the hunter and its prey.

If you're enjoying the Infected mode, there's more coming very soon. The Nuketown map will make its way later today, on November 1, followed by the introduction of Season 1 on November 14, along with the integration of Warzone into Black Ops 6.

If you’ve been dreaming about the day you can stream the Super Mario 64 soundtrack at work, you’re in? luck. Nintendo is releasing tons of their soundtracks to stream directly to your smart device �but only on its own app.

Nintendo Music is the name of the new app announced by the gaming titan. It lets you stream and download tons of its original soundtracks, which include music from franchises like Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and Animal Crossing. They are excl??usively available on the Nintendo Music app for anyone with a Nintendo Switch Online membership. You can check out the announcement trailer for yourself:

You can now listen to your favorite Nintendo tunes, but only on the new Nintendo Music app

Video game so?undtracks are normally made available on existing music apps, such as Spotify or Apple Music. However, Nintendo has n?ever put its own tunes on these platforms, and with Nintendo Music now available, it’s unlikely that it will do so in the future. While it’s a shame you won’t be able to enjoy them on familiar platforms, they’ve never been available on music apps before, so this is better than nothing. 

The Nintendo Music app does have some cool features, such as getting customized recommendations or playlists and even hiding songs that could give potential spoilers for a game if you haven’t beaten it yet. You’ll also be able to find playlists based on certain characters, such as Yoshi, Bowser, and Prince?ss Zelda, or playlists based on themes like adventurous music and boss bat?tles. Each track can also be extended up to 60 minutes in 15-minute segments. 

More soundtracks will be added in the future, although there is already a decent selection available now. The app even has OSTs from series it hasn't touched in a while, such as Nintendogs and Tomodachi Collection. The beloved theme from Mii Plaza is here, too. It’s nice to see that Nintendo hasn’t completely forgotten about these fan favorites, even ?if it’s just through a music app ??instead of a new game.

Nintendo Music is not completely free, as you will ne??ed to have a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership in order to download the app. Strangely enough, you don’t need a Switch, though, just the membership, so if you are willing to pay the monthly membership fee without it, you can still enjoy the app. 

Nintendo Music is available now on iOS and An?droid devices, including smartphones and tablets.

Unlike the original Horizon games, however, you can play this title in co-op with a friend online or offline. Together you can customize the village of Mother's Heart with all manner of Lego objects. The popular Rollercoaster Tycoon spiritual successor, Planet Coaster, is getting a sequel on November 6. In addition to building your own theme pa?rk in this simulation game, you'll be able to build water parks, too. You'll be able to place flumes, water slides, and more in the water park of your dreams while creating mesmerizing rollercoasters in a theme park nearby.

Planet Coaster 2 will have a new event sequencer tool that lets you add effects to your attractions, such as animatronics and water fountains. The developer Frontier says this will let you "bring the dramatic fanfare of real-world theme parks to [your] guests." There are a bunch of pre-??orde?r bonuses and editions to consider if you decide to purchase the game.

BO6 Zombies Treasure Hunter achievement walkthrough (Find the final Talisman)

Unravel the mystery of the Cursed Talisman, a powerful artifac??t ?that bestows a 30 percent point increase and extra health for the duration of the match. To obtain this enigmatic item, you must seek out Captain Gregg, a mysterious figure who will guide you on a captivating object-finding mission.

First, you must obtain the Melee Macchiato Perk-a-Cola in the Bio Lab (F4 coordinates lower level). Use this perk to open a hidden area near the Speed Cola. Head to the E5 coordinates on the left side of the Sea Caves.

Captain Gregg Watch location

Take a look at the treasure map and place a Ping on the location with a red 'X.' This destination varies with each playthrough, so just use the map as a guide. Use a boat from the docks or Bio Lab to move over to one of the many islands. Search for a golden item in the water where your red 'X' ????was, and swim down to grab it.

Return to the Sea Caves and press the Interact (Reload) button near the treasure map. Now that you've returned the watch to Captain Gregg, you'll mark three more spots on the map. This time, the locations are the same for every match, but you'll need to prepare beforehand. I recommend Pack-a-Punching your weapon to Tier 1 at the very least, as you must face off against three Elite Manglers. It's also crucial to have three Molotov cocktails with you.

You'll unlock Molotovs in your Loadouts and the Crafting Table at Level 32. But if you were like me and had to restart your rank with Prestige, it'll take a while to get to this stage. In this case, I suggest simply shooting zombies or digging piles with the shovel for a possible Molotov drop. After? taking down a zombie, I found a cocktail and then discovered the others while fighting the Manglers.

BO6 Zombies Cursed Coin locations

Based on the treasure map, you must explore Castle Rock Island, Temple Island, and the Shipwreck. There isn't a wrong order to do this, but we'll start with Castle Rock Island.

Castle Rock Island

At H4 coordinates, you'll find an island on the Terminus m??ap's right side.

Locate a pile of bones near a light on the ground. Throw your Molotov at it to t?rigger the appea??rance of an Elite Mangler.

Eliminate the Mangler and pick up your first Cursed Coin. Then, give it to Captain Gregg at the treasure map area (press Interact? while there). You must repeat this process two more times with the following Cursed Coins.

Temple Island

Go to the D3 coordinates to reach Temple Island, on the top?-left corner of the map.

To the left of the ammo cache, throw your Molotov at the pile of bones on the ground (near som??e stairs).

Shipwreck location

Lastly, go to the Shipwreck at C6 coordinates.

Go ?to the center of the vessel to find the ?last skeleton chilling by a pole.

After you've defeated the Manglers and returned the Cursed Coins, Captain Gregg will provide you with three Legendary rarity weapons. Use these tools to complete the last step for the BO6 Zombies' Treasure Hunter.

How to unlock and use the Cursed Talisman in BO6 Zombies

If you look at the treasure map again, you'll see a new spot on the map. It'll take you over to Crab Island at the E7 coordinates. You must last three rounds while on this island, so make sure to come prep?ared for a fight.

Moving around will be challenging since it's a reasonably small area, making it easier ??for the zombies to get you. I swam in the water when things got too hectic, and it didn't seem to disrupt my progress on the island. After the three round?s, a golden chest will spawn to reward you with the Cursed Talisman.

Pick up the Talisman, which will be placed on your character's build immediately after. If you don't grab the talisman quickly, the crate will despawn af?ter a while. I learned that the hard way, but fortunately, it does spawn back after a few rounds (stay on Crab Island). In return, you'll now gain double the points and bonus health. However, those who get hit with the item on will lose points. It's called a Cursed Talisman for a reason, so be mindful of this setback.

WizKids, the company behind Sushi Go and other popular games, has announced a Dungeons & Dragons map-building game called Edge of the Realms: Fields of Faerun. It is a deckbuilding game that will see players draft and play cards in a bid to build and co??nnect?? their maps, go on adventures, and beat opponents.

The game is quick-paced, as everybody plays simultaneously, similar to Sushi Go!, and play finishes after 15 rounds. Edge of the Realms is slated for launch in June 2025 and will appeal to fans of card drafting, high fantasy, and D&D.

As any D&D player will attest to, any good adventure is built on a good map. WizKids has tasked players with creating their own maps in its upcoming title, Edge of the Realms: Fields of Faerun. The game looks to offer simple rules, fast-paced action, and plenty of scoring opportunities?.

The primary game engine is that of card drafting. Initially, players draw map tiles until they have four tiles. Each player then plays a single map card face down. When all players have chosen, the map tiles are turned over simultaneously. This simultaneous play is similar to the way Sushi Go! works, as well as other popular drafting games like 7 Wonders, and it helps ensure that the game moves quickly and smoothl????y. After map cards have been played, any completed quests are scored, and players pass their hand to the player on the left.

The game will include more than 100 cards, 50 exploration cubes, quest tokens, five pawns, and a scorepad. The retail price is set at $24.99 and the game is available for pre-order now.

Although it is loosely based on the premise of building a D&D map, players don’t need any knowledge of the D&D system or prior experience of the TTRPG game. It will help if participants enjoy the dung?eon adventuring setting, but it likely won’t be a dealbreaker.

WizKids was formed in 2000 and is best known for its minis games. Mage Knight is a deck-building game that is heavy on combat and has proven?? especially popular as a solo board game. It is a meaty game with a lot of components, and it can take hundreds of hours to play. It is also slow-paced.

At the other end of the pacing scale, WizKids is also responsible for Sushi Go! In that game, players draft and lay down cards before playing them simultaneously and then passing the deck on to the next player. This conveyor belt system is very similar to the one used in Edge of the Realms, and it helps ensure that games keep up their fast pacing. Slow players are generally encouraged to pick their cards quicker and play sooner. But, where Sushi Go! tasks players with creating the most appealing dishes from a selection, Edge of the Realms has players building maps for adventuring.

Wizkids has a licensing partnership with Wizards of the Coast which enables them to create Dungeons & Dragons-themed games, and they have created themed minis, including new designs to celebrate this year’s 50th anniversary of the TTRPG’s creation. Other related products from the company include book tabs and a Baldur’s Gate-styled game.

Vampire Survivors has finally come full circle (of the moon) with its latest Ode to Castlevania DLC. There's a whole arsenal of new weapons to find and evolve. This Vampire Survivors update comes with over ?20 new weapons, a couple of new passives, and a whole?? lot more.

To unlock the new weapons, you'll basically need to unlock the characters, wh??ich we have a separate guide for. Each character comes with a weapon, and you usually unlock t?hat weapon for other characters by surviving with the original owner for a set amount of time. You can find these specific conditions in the Unlocks section of the game.

All you have to do is progress to a certain part in the story to claim your pre-order bonuses in Dragon Age The Veilguard.

Where to access your Dragon Age The Veilguard pre-order bonuses

You can access your pre-order bonuses in Dragon Age: The Veilguard after completing the introduction prologue and gaining access to the Veilguard base of operations which is the Lighthouse. Without spoiling anything, the prologue is considered complete after your encounter with the Dragon Age The Veilguard antagonist Solas.

Once you've reached this part in Dragon Age The Veilguard you'll unlock your h??eadquarters which is the Lighthouse. Between quests you'll come back to the Lighthouse, so it's a location you'll quickly get familiarized with.

In the Lighthouse, look for a chest in the corner of the Infirmary Room which is located in the southwestern room of the area on the Lighthouse map. The chest is named a Wardrobe and will be accessible throughout all of Dragon Age The Veilguard and servers as a spot to change and customize your cosmetic appearance including those you've earned via pre-order bonuses. No matter which edition or platform you chose for Dragon Age The Veilguard, your pre-order rewards are accessible at the Wardrobe in the Lighthouse for th??e entirety of the game.

If you activate a code that unlocks more cosmetic rewards or pre-order bonuses, you will get a notification when you next play Dragon Age The Veilguard that indicates that the rewards are now available at the Wardrobe in the Lighthouse. Daedalus Hammers rank among my absolute favorite upgrades in Hades and Hades 2. They have the power to change the behavior of weapons in entertaining ways and are often the key part of a winning build. Here are the best Daedalus Hammer upgrades for each weapon in Hades 2.

There are five weapons in Hades 2, and each comes with its own set of Daedalus Hammer upgrades. Said Hammers will alter how your weapons work, either by changing the way they attack or by affecting your other abilities in some substantial way. Let's just say that, if you spot the Hammer symbol on a door, you should absolutely go for it?? unless you feel your build is good enough. If you're chasing down those Hammers, scroll to the section below to find out which ones we recommend the most.

Hades 2: Best Daedalus Hammer upgrades for each weapon

As mentioned, there are five weapons in Hades 2 wi?th unique Hammer upgrades. We'll go over each weapon along with what I feel to be the best upgrades you can obtain. I decided to go with three upgrades per weapon and offered suggestions where applicable on how best to wield them.

The Witch's Staff

The Witch's Staff brings a good balance of Magick ability and attack power, either of which (or both at once)?? can be imp?roved with Daedalus Hammer upgrades. If you're rocking the staff, look for these during your next run:

• Extending Wallop

  • The upgrade increases your attack range and deals 100% additional damage to foes at a distance. This is perfect for the non-melee-focused Staff.

• Aetheric Moonburst

  • Your Omega Special gains a Power Shot that deals +50% damage and restores 20 Magick. This upgrade allows you to get into the flow of attacking and regaining Magick.

• Dual Moonshot

  • Though not as powerful as the Double Moonshot it replaced, Dual Moonshot is still strong for those who have confidence in their dodges. Your Specials fire two projectiles but with a 40% reduction in range.

Sister Blades

The Sister Blades are my favorite weapons in the game. Why? Well, not on?ly are they fun to use, but their Daedalus Hammer upgrades are some of the most impressive in the?? game. Consider these next time you rock the blades:

• Spiral Knives

  • Your Specials deal +20% damage and your Omega Special fires up to 16 shots around you in a circular pattern. Combined with the Aspect of Pan, Spiral Knives is an absolute killer of elites and Guardians.

• Melting Sickle

  • Perfect for encounters with armored elites, Melting Sickle causes your Special to destroy 50% of any Armor based on the total amount.

• Dancing Knives

  • This upgrade makes it so your Special moves deal 15% more damage and each hit will bounce toward up to two more enemies.

Truth be told, most (if not all) Daedalus Hammer upgrades for the Sister Blades are incredible in their own right. You could replace my list above with any other combination and you should do just as well or even better, depending on your build. Mix and match, and just enjoy the stabbing.

Umbral Flames

As the most maligned of Melinoë's weapons, figuring out the best Umbral Flames??'? Hammer upgrades is a bit tricky. I do feel these are the best for the time being:

• Sustained Spark

  • The Umbral Flames can be hard to use since you need to channel attacks, and often in close range to enemies. Sustained Spark helps by allowing you to move 20% faster while you charge Attacks.

• Mega Spark

  • This upgrade works on the idea of the former, allowing you to fire your Attacks 20% further for +30% more damage.

• Rising Coil

  • With Rising Coil, your Specials grow larger and deal up to 25% more damage the longer they are active. Your Special is something you should be using often with the Flames, so the more damage, the better.

Moonstone Axe

Ah, the Moonstone Axe, my belove?d. It's fun to create builds for the Moonstone Axe, as the damage it deals can knock the wind out of most foes and bosses alike.

• Psychic Whirlwind

  • Psychic Whirlwind almost feels like a win button to me. When equipped, you can continue using your Attacks and Specials while your Omega Attack is active. This causes your damage to increase exponentially and even lets you dash around. It's bliss.

• Giga Cleaver

  • This upgrade lets you fire off your Omega Special twice in a row for +15 Magick. If you're basing your build around the Omega Special, Giga Cleaver is a necessity.

• Seething Marauder

  • The Omega Attack is my favorite with the axe, so something like Seething Marauder is ideal. It's an upgrade that causes your Attacks to deal 60 damage to foes all around you. Combine this with the Psychic Whirlwind and maybe Apollo's Boons and you are a hurricane of blades and death, my friends.

Argent Skull

As weird as it is, I actually adore the Argent Skull weapon. It's deceptively powerful and has taken me to some satisfying victories in Hades 2. To earn your o?wn?? wins with the Skulls, look for these upgrades to try:

• Twisting Crash

  • Twisting Crash activates the Omega Special move again, this time bringing the waves back toward you. It allows you to dish out twice the damage whenever you use the move.

• Bolstered Array

  • The Argent Skull fires magical "skulls," called Shells, to damage enemies. By default, you get three shots before you need to pick the Shells up or wait for them to return. Having only three shells makes good aim and patience critical for using the Skull. Bolstered Array eases things up by adding two more Shells, letting you spam for damage or fire and reposition yourself for another attack.

• Mega Driver

  • I will deny any accusation that I chose the Mega Driver upgrade merely due to my love of Sega's greatest console. But I won't say that the thought didn't cross my mind. Mega Driver is a top pick for me, a person who uses the Omega Special of the Argent Skull as often as he breathes. The upgrade allows the move to travel further while dishing out an additional 50% damage. For those who love scooting across the screen with the Skull, this one's for you.

The Black Coat

If you ever thought about how a rocket-firing jetpack would fare in ancient Greece (who hasn't?), wonder no more. Xinth - The Black Coat is an admittedly anachronistic weapon that allows Melino?ë to zip around the screen softening up foes with a barrage of rockets before delivering a devastating punch. To increase the weapon's immense power, try:

• Ripper Rockets

  • Ripper Rockets grants your Special Attacks +5 Power for up to five consecutive hits on the same enemy. Armor or not, the upgrade helps you shred enemies if you focus on Special damage.

• World Collider

  • Want to know what happens when worlds collide? In the context of the Black Coat, we're talking hundreds of points of damage (or more, depending). When equipped, World Collider gives your fully-charged Omega Attack +100 Power damage. Float like a butterfly, sting like a freakin' cannon.

• Counter Barrage

  • The Black Coat has many great hammer upgrades, which made things more challenging for me. But for the third choice, I have to go with Counter Barrage. When used, Counter Barrage allows you to automatically fire five Omega Special rockets while blocking. It's a one-two punch between rockets and a, um, punch that sends enemies reeling. Runner up: Launcher Frame.

Keep in mind that this list is subjective and liable to change. For the most part, the best Daedalus Hammer upgrades in Hades 2 are the ones that suit your play style and build the most. The list above, however, does contain what I feel to be the absolute most essential upgrades, so I encourage you to check them out on your way to kill Time.

Pack points are a type of currency that can be earned in Pokémon TCG Pocket, and you can use them to get some pretty rare ca??rds. If you’re wondering how to get Pack Points or how to spend them, here’s everything you need to know. 

How to get more Pack Points in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Each time you open up a booster pack in TCG Pocket, you’ll earn five Pack Points. These can then be saved and then ?used to effectively “craftâ€?chase cards. I don’t mean that you can get some glue and do some arts and crafts, but you can spend the points to guarantee the appearance? of a chase card in a booster pack. 

How to use Pack Points in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Each card has a pre-determined rarity, and you’ll need to spen??d a fixed number of Pack Points in order to guarantee the appearance of a card of that rarity. The minimum number of Pack Points you’ll need for the most basic of cards is 35. ?The maximum for the rarest type of cards is 2,500. 

At a base level, you can only open two bo?oster packs per day, three if you’ve unlocked the Premium, and more if you use Pack Hourglasses to unlock more packs. That means a minimum of 10 Pack Points can be earned each day, so however you look at it, you’re in for a grind. 

Here’s how many Pack Points you need for each rarity of the car?d, along with how many days you’d need to play if you open two booster packs per day:

To exchange P?ack Points, ??you’ll need to press the Pack Point Exchange button on the booster pack screen, as shown below:

This will bri?ng up a screen where you can see how many Pack Points you currently have and a full list of cards that can be guaranteed in the next booster pack. This is a good way to get specific cards, and you’ll need to be quick - once the availability period for a certain booster pack ends, you won’t be able to spend your Pack Points on those cards anymore.

In the original Hades, you could unlock Aspects for your weapons, changing their form and function in a way that made each run feel different. It could even have been the difference maker. You can unlock Weapon Aspects in Hades 2 as well, and here's how.

Weapon Aspects are unlocked in Hades 2 after receiving the Aspects of Night and Darkness Incantation. It's offer?ed to you by Hecate, but not freely. You'll have to p??rove you earned it first.

Hades 2: How to unlock Aspects for main weapons

It'll take time to unlock Weapon Aspects in Hades 2. In my experience, I didn't get the Incantation until I was roughly 20 hours into the game and had seen most of?? the available Regions. The game is also a bit clande?stine regarding unlocks, so I'll go over what I did to finally get the Aspects of Night and Darkness.

Here are some things you can do to try and get the Weapon Asp??ects Incantation to appear:

• Reach every Region in Hades 2, including those on the surface (here's how to go above).
• Collect surface resources such as Bronze, which is used for the Incantation.
• Unlock all available weapons (here's how).
• Defeat Hecate as the Guardian of Erebus with each weapon at least once.

Hecate often hands over new Incantations as you progress. Early on, you'll get many offered after your fights and conversations with her. She'll do the same for the Weapon Aspects Incantation, but you may need to be patient. If you've completed the above tasks and haven't received the Incantation yet, keep playing through the game and making progress.

Hecate will soon bring up the responsibility of the Nocturnal Arms and will gift you the Incantat?ion.

To unlock new Weapon Aspects in Hades 2, activate the Aspects of Light and Darkness Incantation at the cauldron in the Crossroads.

The incantation requires:

• 5 Bronze
• 1 Nightshade

The list of ingredients is thankfully short. Bronze is gathered from Bronze Outcroppings on the surface Region of the City of Ephyra. You'll need the Crescent Pick, which you should have unlocked by now. Nightshade is plentiful, but if you need seeds you can find them in Erebus.

Once you activate the incantation, head down to the Crossroads Training Grounds to unlock weapons and their Aspects. Enter the weapons menu in the Silver Pool. You should now see multiple tab??s. The first is an anvil, which allows you to unlock new weapons. Select the weapon tabs to upg??rade that Aspect's unique ability even further.

How to unlock and upgrade Weapon Aspects in Hades 2

Unlocking and upgrading Weapon Aspects in Hades 2 requires raw materials you can gather in the various Regions or via trials. The default Aspect is the Aspect of Melinoë, but each weapon comes with two additional Aspects to unlock. Weapon upgrades can require Guardian materials, such as Cinder, along with other resources like Lime, Ash, or Adamant. Select a ??weapon tab and look for the list of required materials at the bottom-left portion of ??the screen.

Nightmare is a required resource for upgrading some Aspects. It is also the most difficult to collect. To get Nightmare, you must take the Oath of the Unseen. You can find the Oath of the Unseen standing between the two gates after it's unlocked. Completing runs rewards you with Nightmare, which you can spend on upgrades. Follow our guide for more details.

How to unlock Chaos Trials

Once you start unlocking Aspects, you can use them during the Chaos Trials. Find out how to scry the Pitch-Black Stone to unlock Chaos Trials here. Doing so w??ill earn you a? rare resource called Star Dust.

Best Weapon Aspects in Hades 2

There are three Aspects per weapon in Hades 2, but which ones are the best? Honestly, the answer is mostly subjective. After all, the Aspects change up the weapons' behaviors and functions in such a way that the best ones for you are what? jive with you the most. But in all my dozens of hours playing the game, I feel you can't go wrong with the choic??es below.

Best Witch's Staff Aspect

The Aspect of Circe is the best weapon A??spect for the tried-and-true Witch's Staff. It's an ideal Aspect for magic-heavy runs, which are common with the Staff. After 12 Attacks or Special attacks, you gain Serenity, which causes Omega Moves to be more powerful and restores Magick. Later upgrades increase the damage you deal with Omega Attacks while Serenity is active. You may not f??eel the effects of the Aspect early on in your run, but during late-game Regions, it comes in clutch during hectic boss battles.

Best Sister Blades Aspect

There's not much argument to make here: The Aspect of Pan is nearly unbeatable as the best weapon Aspect for th??e Sister Blades. This Aspect allows you to chunk off the health of any enemy standing in your Omega Cast. It's especially vicious against enemies with large health pools, such as elites and Guardians. With Daedalus Hammer upgrades like Concentrated Flurry or Spiral Knives, the blades will reach their maximum lethal potential.

Best Moonstone Axe Aspect

I had a hard time choosing what I feel is the best weapon Aspect for the Moonstone Axe, since I tend to swap between two quite frequently. I'm a fan of the Aspect of Thanatos, which increases attack speed critical c??hance when using Omega Moves. But it really only starts to shine in the late game for me, so the balance tips toward the Aspect of Charon as the axe's best. The Aspect allows you to dish out explosive damage, which is especially great on Guardians and elites. Try it.

Best Umbral Flames Aspect

The Umbral Flames aren't often my first pick, but the Aspect of Moros improves them significantly. Holding down attack allows you to leave flames lingering around the ??battlefield. This allows you to set traps for enemies, leading them into a minef??ield that detonates the moment you set it off with a Special attack. Holding down your Special to cause flames to circle you, and tapping regular attack creates a pocket of explosions in front of Melinoe. It's powerful enough to wipe out even the most stubborn enemies.

Best Argent Skull Aspect

Now, I'm a fan of the Argent Skull, no matter the Aspect. It's just great. But my favorite Aspect to use for it is the Aspect of Persephone. It enhances the power of your Omega Special, which can be used to cause massive damage while retrieving spent Shells. The Aspect increases the damage output greatly, which can be increased via upgrades. The additional?? time given to Omega Casts is? also great, especially if you're running for Apollo or Demeter Boons.

Best Black Coat Aspect

I'm not ashamed to say that I've long since been a Path of Stars fan. Selene's Boons are mighty when used correctly, though their popularity seems to be in flux with the Hades 2 community. Regardless, the Aspect of Selene for? the Black Coat makes my lunar fanboyism feel vindicated. With a g?ame plan, the Aspect can be astonishingly powerful.

To maximize its potential, take the Moon Beam, Selene's Keepsake, at the start of your run. Moon Beam gives you additional upgrade points, enough to complete one path and claim the Sublime ability for the Shine Hex. Activate the Death Arcana Card for in??creased critical damage chance and ?focus on Boons that power your Omega moves. With luck, you can end up with a build capable of dishing out damage in the thousands.

Ten years after the launch of the last version, Dungeons & Dragons will see the launch of the new Dungeon Master’s Guide 2024 on November 12. The creators have said that it will continue fewer stuff DMs don’t need. The 2014 version was considered difficult to understand, even for experienced DMs, but senior D&D game designer James Wyatt has said that this iteration is clearly set out and easier to follow. Even nov??ice DMs, or those making their first move from player to DM, will be able to create adventures directly from the book itself.

New core rulebooks are usually launched when the new edition of Dungeons & Dragons releases. 2014’s launch coincided with the new 5^th editi??on. Howev??er, 2024’s set is more of an update to 5e and not an entirely updated ruleset.

The book is 384 pages long despite containin??g streamlined rules. It contains five full ad??ventures, set in Greyhawk, and tools to make game management and adventure tracking easier.

Although new systems and rules are scant, one new mechanic to be introduced is the Bastion system. Previous versions hav??e d?iscussed the management of a personal keep or other adventurer’s homestead, but there have never been any hard and fast rules. The Bastion system changes that.

A Bastion is described as being a stronghold for players and other party?? members. As well as offering somewhere to rest, bastions also include facilities that can offer buffs and benefits, as well as hirelings. Bastions can be customized, and they can even be combined to create massive party headquarters.

The homesteads can be managed at the table, with a bastion turn occurring every seven in-game days, or away from the table. As always, players sho?uld confirm this with their DM. Bastion events can also happen, which may have positive or negative effects.

Another ?new addition to this year’s guide is magic item crafting. To successfully craf?t items, players must have proficiency in Arcana as well as with the types of tools they will use. They also need to know the spell that is relevant to the effect of the magic item.

Crafting does have a gold and material cost, and it takes time. The Dung?eon Master may prevent players from crafting certain types or levels of items if it would unnaturally tilt the game in or against the player??’s favor. But magic items can be completely customized, including naming the item, and giving it a backstory.

Other than these quite significant changes, DMs wi??ll also find changes to classes, spells, species, and combat. The same updates can also be found in the player’s handbook. Existing adventures might need to have a few tweaks from the original 5e rules to run properly using the new updated version, but t??he changes shouldn’t be too complicated.

You'll encounter many characters throughout Dragon Age: The Veilguard, but you can only engage in romantic discourse with characters who are your companions. There are seven companions in total, meaning Rook has seven potential romance options. We've compiled a list of all the romance options available in Dragon Age The Veilguard as well as som?e information about ?each potential suitor.

All seven companions that join you in your adventures in Dragon Age The Veilguard are options for romance. None of the romantic options are locked behind your character creation, meaning regardless of the choices you made when creating your Rook, you are free to pursue romantic options with all seven of the companions. How to romance a companion in Dragon Age The Veilguard

When interacting with or speaking to a companion, you'll sometimes get a reply option that is marked with a pink heart. This essentially means that the option is considered a flirtatious dialogue option and will increase your romantic favor with that companion. There's no limit on the amount of flirting you can do in Dragon Age The Veilguard—in fact, you can essentially flirt with all seven companions if you want to. As you bond wit?h each companion grows, you can check their specific page on the Companions screen to see the level of your relationshi?p with them, located on the left side of the screen.

A heart icon indicates that specific companion has reached the bond level where they are ready to take things to the next level. They will approach you and make the offer to become an exclusive couple. Y??ou can only begin this actual relationship status with a single companion; no throuples here! However, th?e decision is not permanent. If you change your mind and wnat to romance a different companion, simply talk to the companion and indicate that you want to break up. When you are officially dating a companion, their icon for their bond level with you on the Companion screen will instead be two overlapping hearts.

Each companion has varying stages of bond level with Rook, with some companions being seemingly easier to romance than o?thers. Because reaching the heart status with a companion is not exclusive, you should do what you can to increase the bond level with each of the seven companions to try and acheive the heart, that way if you ever decide to puruse the exclusive romantic relationship with them, you will have that option. The best way to increase your bond level with companions is chat with them and choose any dialogue options with the heart icon. Mos??t of these interactions take place at the Lighthouse in between your adventures, so always make sure to exhause all dialogue options with any characters you have a romantic interest in when at the Lighthouse. If you really want to focus on romancing a companion, make sure you add them to your party as often as possible to increase the amount you converse with them.

Bellara Lutare

Welcome to the Zombies cooking class, where you'll become an expert on a classic fish dish. Even though it??'s not?? your average meal, with its combination of brains and batteries, the reward of the Culinary Delight achievement is within your reach.

If you're ready to tackle this unconventional dish, here are all the ingredient locations for the Culinary Delight Easter Egg in Black Ops 6 Zombies.

How to unlock Culinary Delight achievement in BO6 Zombies

BO6 Zombies' Culinary Delight recipe requires six ingredients: Fish, Salt, Cooking Oil, a Can of Beans, Batteries, and a Brain. You'll find these items throughout the Terminus map, allowing you to use the coo??king station in the mess hall. To pick up t??hese objects, hold the Interact button, which is the same interaction as Reload. We'll start with the ones by the initial spawn point, followed by the ingredients deep underground.

Terminus Culinary Delight Salt location

You'll find a bottle of salt in the building with the Jogger-Nog Perk-a-Cola machine. Head upstairs to the E5 coordinates.

Here, you'll find the salt lying on top of a ?fridge.

Terminus Culinary Delight Can of Beans location

At coordinates E5, you can move over to the mess hall area.

Locate three crates nea?r the top-l??eft corner of the building, and you should spot the Can of Beans in between them.

Terminus Culinary Delight Cooking Oil location

While you're at the mess hall, walk over to the top-ri?ght corner, where you'll find the Culinary Delight cooking station. Pick up the Cooking Oil bottle from the nearby shelves.

Terminus Culinary Delight Batteries location

Go to the right side of the map, inside the building with the Crafting Table. The following ingredient will be at the F5 coordinates, near the Elemental Pop machine.

You'll find the bl?ue batteries on top of the workstations there.

Terminus Culinary Delight Brain location

Now, you need to travel to the Terminus' lower floor, the same place where the Pack-a-Punch machine lies. Go to the E4 coordinates (underground level) to reach the Bio Lab.

The Brain will be near one of the main doorways (the one with the Speed C??ola tunnels). Loc?ate it on a white desk.

Terminus Culinary Delight Fish location

The final ingredient will be in the same place as the Brain (Bio Lab), but its specific location will vary. You need to look for ripples in the water where you'll see fish swimming around.

Throw a grenade at it to capture the fish. You'll now have all the ingredients for BO6 Zombies' Culinary Delight achievement.

Terminus Culinary Delight cooking station location

Return to the mess hall (E5 coordinates upper level) and in??teract with the cooking pan near the kettle.

Press the Interact button repeatedly to add the ingredients to the pan individually. You may throw in one additional item, specifically a vegetable, but it doesn't seem necessary. I only used the si?x ingredients above, which resulted in the achievement not long after.

Once all the items are inside, trigger the next round, and the pan should emit various colors.

You'll then earn the Culinary Delight achievement for the Black Ops 6 Zombies tro??phy collection. Although there aren't any special rewards tied to it, you'll get the satisfaction of this triumphant.

There are a couple of great spots for farming in Fisch, depending on the type of catch. The best location for farming is Roslit Bay, where you can earn a lot of money by catching Manta Rays. Also, the best time for farming, in general, is Night.

Also, you'll need plenty of good bait for money-farming, which you can get by buying Bait Crates at the docks. You can also get them by fishing with a Magnet Rod, but that's just not that optimal.

Best Farming Rods in Fisch

The best rods for farming in Fisch are the Mythical Rod and the Trident Rod. The Mythical Rod has a 20% chance of catching Mythical fish (x4.5 value). On the other hand, the Trident Rod gives you a 30% chance for the fish to be Atlantean (3x value).

If you don't have the Mythical Rod or the Trident Rod yet, use the Steady Rod as an alternative. It gives you 35% Luck and 30% Resilience. On top of that, with a limit of 100,000kg, you can catch even the heaviest sea beasts. The King's Rod is also great, with 55% Luck and 35% Resilience.

You can also farm with the Nocturnal Rod (70% Luck), but it lacks a Resilience bonus. Do not make the mistake of buying the Midas Rod. It's really bad for the money, and just using the Steady rod until you get the Mythical is better. Also, don't forget to enchant your rod to improve your farming chances.

Best Farming Baits in Fisch

Perfect baits offer high universal Luck and Resilience, such as Weird Algae, Night Shrimp, or Super Flakes. But as those are hard to find, look for the best of the rest, like Seaweed and Bagel. Both give you Luck and Resilience boosts. Naturally, if you're hunting for something specific, like Manta Rays, use Shrimp or other preferred bait instead.

Appraising is one of the most poorly explained mechanics in Fisch, and I see people often using it in such a way that they never come out with more money than they invested. So, to help you out, I prepared a complete Fisch Roblox appraisal guide. Scroll down, and let's get started, shall we?

How to Appraise in Fisch Roblox

To appraise a fish in Fisch, you have to visit the Appraiser NPC (450, 150, 210) in Moosewood. Each appraisal costs C$450, and every time you do it, the fish will be returned to your inventory with modified stats (weight and potential mutation). Note that if it was favorited in your inventory, it will lose that status once you get it back. The Appraiser can also tell you the current value of your fish, which you should do before you start appraising.

Fisch Appraisal Mechanics Explained

• Appraisal costs C$450, and it can be done multiple times for a single fish.
• You can't appraise bait crates, rods, and other non-fish items.
• Appraisal will remove current mutations from the fish except for Shiny and Sparkling.
• The weight of the fish will either decrease or increase with each appraisal (50/50, it seems).
• The current weight of the fish doesn't affect the possible weight values.
• There is a chance that the fish will get a random mutation when appraising (~15% from my experience).

When Should You Appraise in Fisch?

As a rule of thumb, the only catch you want to appraise in Fisch is Mythic/Event fish that are worth ~C$3,000 or more without any mutations. Fish that come to mind are Colossal Squid, Isonade, Nessie, Great White Shark, Great Hammerhead Shark, etc. Another reason to appraise is if the fish is severely below the average weight.

So, to summarize: when you catch a fish you think is valuable, visit the Appraiser, check its price, and if it's more than C$3,000, start appraising it over and over again until it gets a modifier or bigger weight you're satisfied with.

Also, if you haven't figured that out by now, don't appraise fish that already have the Mythical mutation (from the Mythical Rod, for example) since that will be lost with appraisal. The same goes for the Midas mutation if you're using the Midas rod.

How to Increase Appraisal Luck in Fisch

The only way to increase appraisal luck in Fisch is by buying the Appraiser's Luck gamepass for R$ 399. You can find the Gamepasses board (420, 150, 275) in Moosewood, on the top of the stairs?? leading to the Merchant and other NPCs around th??e pond.
