Making the wrong kind of Impact
Studio MiHoYo has announced that the next update to its uber-popular RPG adventure title Genshin Impact has been hit with an unforeseen delay and will not launch this month as planned. The studio has not annou♊nced a replacement date for Version 2.7, which was originally scheduled to launch May 11.
MiHoYo made the unfortunate announcement on Twitter this past weekend. “Dear Travelers, Due to project progress, the Version 2.7 update will be postponed,” “For detailed information on the date of the new update, content adjustment plan, and compensation, please stay tuned for upcoming announcements.”
Dear Travelers,

While no reason was given for the delay outside of the aforementioned “project progress,” it should be also noted that China, (where Genshin Impact is developed) has recently launched emergency lockdown legislation in response to a surge in CO🥀VID-19 cases among the population. It is predicted that these sudden measures are expected to disrupt various industries and economies within the country.
Genshin Impact Version 2.7 is scheduled to bring a bevy of delicious new content to the denizens of Teyvat. The update will see two new characters join the GI roster, including the regal, five-star a🦩rcher Yelan and the mysterious and agile electro-ninja Kuki Shi𒐪nobu. While both of these young ladies are looking radical, it seems that eager travelers will have to hold onto their hype for the time being.
Genshin Impact is available now on PlayStation, PC, and mobile platforms. A Nintendo Switch edition remains in development, thoughܫ a release date is still yet to be announced.
