Ghostbusters game

Ghostbusters star Ernie Hudson says a new game is ‘definitely happening’

Who are we calling this time?

I almost can’t believe that Ghostbusters, as a franchise, has lasted nearly 40 years. From the insane original concept from Dan Aykroyd, to the sequel, to multiple cartoons, to video games, people have been singing the heavily litigated theme for decades. And given that it’s still relevant yet again following the mostly fine response to the alright Afterlife film, it’s probably time for another Ghostbusters game. Ernie Hudson thinks so too.

So earlier this year we got word that Friday the 13th developers IllFonic . But thanks to Ghostbusters star Ernie Hudson💧 (Winston Zeddemore in the films), we have a second confirmation. Hudson revealed the news at .

Here’s what he had to say on the topic:

“I just got an e-mail, because we’re doing another video game. They’re scheduling it now to do the recording, and I’m not too sure who going to do it, I know me and Danny (Dan Aykroyd), I think. I’m not sure about Billy (Bill Murray) will do anything on it. So, there will be another video game. When they’ll bring it out, I don’t know, but it’s definitely happening.”

Ghostbusters, as a whole, is what I’d call a disorganized franchise. Even from the very start things were a little foggy in terms of who was the steward of the characters, and now we’re bouncing around from Terminal Reality to IllFonic. But given that the latter generally puts out serviceable games, I have hope that it’ll be playable, at least.
