Halo 3 has been successful.

I know that’s the equivalent of saying the sky is blue or that 60% of you are reading this sans pants, but did you realize exactly how successful it has been? According to , Microsoft’s sales of the Xbox 360 console doubled during the first fiscal quarter, a jump Microsoft attributes to the Master Chief. Profits during the period hit $165 million, a stark contrast from the $142 million loss just one year back.

What does this mean for the average person? Who cares? The more important question is: what does this mean for Keith David? The man has long been typecast as a hard ass military type, and even when he accepts roles in an effort to prove his ability to play a romantic lead, the whole thing somehow gets twisted around (see Requiem for a Dream). We here at Destructoid hope the success of Halo 3 leads Mr. David to similar success in Hollywood, and an even wider array of roles proving his ability to not merely play a gruff military type, but also a gruff ali🥃en, or even a gruff drug dealer.
