The latest Major Order in Helldivers 2 tasks players with taking the last three planets left under Automaton control, but it won’t happen if we don’t get organized.
Today, Helldivers 2 players received what must be the final Major Order for operation Swift Disassembly, which has seen us push back the Automatons to a single sector of the galaxy. There are just three planets left to liberate, and then the order will be completed, but it’s not going to be easy. In fact, if the last week or so has been any indication, it’s going to be the toughest fight we’ve seen in the game to date, requiring cooperation from some real team players.
Freedom from the bots requires a real game plan in Helldivers 2
The current Major Order in Helldivers 2 is Phase 4 of Operation Swift Disassembly, an operation title that’s becoming less appropriate each day. It tasks players with liberating the final three planets in the entire galaxy that are still under Automaton control: Tibit, Maia, and Durgen. This would effectively wipe out the Automatons, though I’m sure they’ll reappear somewhere in the galaxy eventually if we succeed.
This Major Order seems simple on the surface, but the Automatons won’t go down without a fight. They’re going to attack us along our supply lines to try to cut us off from each of these worlds, effectively digging themselves in deeper. A similar situation popped up last weekend when the Automatons began attacking 🐻a world that would have prevented us from completing a Major Order had we not worked together.
At the time of writing, about how they should approach this Major Order. Currently, the play is to liberate Maia first, Durgen second, and Tibit third. However, the Automatons could derail our efforts in several ways. With Maia as the primary target, Automatons could force us to defend Vandalon IV in the neighboring sector again or force us back to Malevelon Creek, even though we think we’re done with it, to disrupt our links to Durgen as well.
In my eyes, the worst thing that could happen is for the Automatons to hit Ubanea, blocking us from Tibit and adding another planet for us to liberate over the next three and a half days. Right now, I’m seeing players spread across all three worlds, but that’s not going to help us because of how enemy factions fight back when we’re not all logged in during the day or evening.
We need to follow this route in Helldivers 2 if we want to win. Otherwise, the Automatons could pull off The Reclamation, an event intel continues to reference, but Super Earth won’t tell us anything about it. That name suggests the Automatons believe we have something that’s theirs, and an enemy fighting for what it believes it rightfully owns is always more dangerous.
