If you like cute things, or you like Minecraft, or maybe you happen to be part of the population who split their attention between the two things, then you’re in luck. From January 21, Hello Kitty and her fellow Sanrio characters will have their very own Minecraft DLC, and it’s impossibly cute.
The by Razzleberries and Sanrio puts Hello Kitty into the blocky world of Minecraft, and she’s also dragged her friends along for the ride. While playing the DLC, you can meet an♑d interact with characters such as:
- Kuromi
- Cinnamonroll
- My Melody
- Kiki & Lala
- Chococat
- Purin
- Keroppi
- Pochacco
And those are just the characters included on the official banner for the DLC. There’s no telling which of the other well-known Sanrio characters will appear. There ಌare also glimpses of Badtemaru and Hangyodon in the official trailer for the DLC, but sadly there is no sign of Gudetamꦕa yet. I live in hope.
Anyway, the Hello Kitty and Friends DLC turns Minecraft into a cozy “kawaii farm” simulator, and players can not only customize their farm to their heart’s content, but there’s also everything else we’ve come to expect from any farming sim. Planting and harvesting crops, taking care of animals, and quests from the cutesy villagers.
Seasons are set to change in the DLC, with n🎐ew crops and festivals 💦being a core part of each season. How you take care of your animals or tend your crops will depend on the weather, with heatwaves, frosts, and even typhoons to contend with. You’ll need to gather resources to upgrade and prepare for the coming seasons.
So essentially, it’s the same as every other farming sim. But, it’s Hello Kitty and 🐟friends, which🌄 instantly gives it a certain edge.
You can ൲even dress up as Hello Kitty with her iconic red a🔜nd blue outfit, which comes complete with the instantly recognizable red bow. The outfit is free for anyone who downloads the DLC before February 20, so make sure to make the most of this opportunity to get kawaii,
I have to admit, this cozy farm sim Minecraft DLC comes at a weird time because Hello Kitty Island Adventure is coming to both Steam and Nintendo Switch in just over a week from the time of the DLC’s release, but what’s to say you can’t play both and get double the cozy vibes?
The Hello Kitty and Friends DLC is available to purchase now from the ace, costing 1510 Minecoins, so you’ll need to buy 1,600 Minecoins ($9.99) if you want to get the DLC. On the💃 plus side, you’ll have some left over for any other goodies y﷽ou want to buy, and less than $10 for what is pretty much a standalone game mode isn’t something to complain about.
