Hello Kitty Island Adventure: Complete Hugs & Hearts event guide

There are a lot of seasonal events in Hello Kitty Island Adventure sprinkled throughout the year, offering chances to get a staggering number of items and rewards. February is the season of lov⛦e, and the residents of Friendship Island like to get into the spirit of things. 

The Hugs & Hearts event is an annual celebration of love, friendship, and all things heart-shaped. This year, the event is taking place between February 8 and Febru❀ar𝓰y 22, with a chance for new players to get their hands on items for the first time and veterans to grab anything they might have missed. 

If you recently purchased the Deluxe edition of Island Adventure for PC or Switch, you’ll h🌟ave these items waiting for you once you unlock the Deluxe Event Bundle in-game after you complete the “Fish Noir” and “Comic Relief” quests.

How to take part in the Hugs and Hearts event in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

As soon as you open Island Adventure for the first time during the event’s duration, Chococat will pull you to one side and tell you all about a new type of Critter that’s shown up. It’s called a Lovebug, and it can be found around Resort Plaza. 

Lovebugs are little pink caterpillars, and you’ll need to equip your net and try to track them down. You can capture one Lovebug per day during the event but don’t wor😼ry if the first one you see gets spooked. More will show up until you catch your daily allowance, allowing you multiple chances to capture the Critter. 

Once you’ve caught a Lovebug, you’ll be able to place it in the Hugs & Hearts event stand, which is located be🍰tween Pochacco’s usual spot and the beach. Placing a Lovebug into the event stand will turn it into a Chrysalis, and you’ll be able to select one reward per Lovebug you put into the building.&n🐻bsp;

Shortly befo🌜re the event ends, the Lovebug Chrysalises will turn into Heartw💮ings, which will flutter around the island until the end of the event. When the event finishes, Keroppi will give you one Heartwing as a keepsake of the event.

Event rewards and items can be obtained throug💝h a few different sources, and it can be hard to keep track of everything to make sure you get the full collection. ꧒To help, here’s everything broken down into individual sources. 

Lovebug rewards

Ea⛦ch time you place a Lovebug into the event stand and it turns into a Chrysalis, you’ll be able to choose from the following list of nine exclusive event furniture items:

Hugs & Hearts daily gifts

Each day during the event, a new daily gift will be given. N🐻ot all of them are event-specific, ✃but all of them are useful. Here’s everything you’ll get during the event, with exclusive event items highlighted in bold:

Shop items available during the Hugs & Hearts event

Both Tuxedosam and My Melody will have exclusive items available for purchase during the event, selling clothing and f🗹urniture items, respectively. As these items are not guaranteed to show up on any given day of the event, it’s worth checking back daily and possibly hopping over to friends’ islands if they happen to have an item you desperately want. 

Clothing from Tuxedosam

These items are pretty resource-heavy to purchase, so you might need to do some grinding (꧒particularly with giving gifts to Cinamoroll, who will provide you with the much-needed Candy Clouds) to get everything you need. 

Furniture from My Melody

These items are all purchased from My Melody by exchanging resources. Again, purchasing them is a pretty resource-heavy experience, and there’s no guarantee that any of these items will actually show up in your store during the event. You’ll need more Candy Clouds, a hoard of Ingots, and a fair amount ofꦰ Rubber if you want to buy the folloꦗwing items:
