The free adaptor is necessary for the current PlayStation Camera to work on PS5, and you’ll need to fill out a form
Hoping to take your PlayStation VR games for a spin on PS5? You’re going to want an adaptor while they’re being given out. Today, Sony opened the website for PlayStation VR owners to .
Long story short, the PlayStation 5 is getting that isn’t compatible with the current PlayStation VR setup, so if you have the headset and want to use it on PS5, you’ll need a special adaptor for your existing (made-for-PS4) PlayStation Camera. Got it? Not really? .
The important thing to note is that “anyone who owns a PS VR headset” can request the PlayStation Camera adaptor (with a limit of one per household). All you need is the serial number found on the PlayStation VR processor unit – the box that your HDMI cables go through. That said, at the time of writing, it’s been a struggle to get the form to cooperate. The CAPTCHA is buggy at the moment.
If you keep getting an error with a correctly typed serial number, just keep re-entering it. I had that problem and after several attempts, it eventually w🐲orked and I was able to enter my address info.
As for how the PlayStation Camera ꧋adaptor fits into t༒he picture:
- Step 1: Connect the PlayStatio💝n Camera adaptor to a USB Type-A port on the back of your PS5 console. The PlayStation Camera adaptor cannot be used with the PS4 console.
- Step 2. Connect the PlayStation Camera to th🍨e AUX port on the PlayStation Camera adaptor.
Sony is expecting to begin shipping them in mid-November in most regions, and there’s no fee.
