Scallywag Arcade, a new developer based in Liverpool, UK, just debuted its trailer for a virtual reality adaptation of Taskmaster. The teaser shows all the familiar assets from the program, such as the studio, the caravan, as well as s𝔍ome of the tasks players will bﷺe challenged with.

Your time starts now

Featuring a plethora of well-known British comedians and TV personalities, Taskmaster has not only won BAFTA awards, but h🍃as also been adapted outside the UK. There are versions of it in the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Spain, Finland, Norway, and more.

For those who haven’t seen it, the show sets five panelists a series of tasks over the course of several months. These are filmed at the Taskmaster house in London. These clips are then shown to the Taskmaster himself in the studio, who then gives out points based on a number of criteriꦉa (sometimes arbitrary, typically funny).

Tasks themselves range from the bizarre to puzzling to team-based ones in which contestants must work together. Given the format, it’s actually quite surprising that someone hasn’t done a VR version of it already. But, here we are now.
