Devs need $3,000 for the kit and three games
Pre-or꧃ders for Microsoft’s Holo🔯Lens dev kit open today.
The augmented reality kit will set you back $3,000 and ship on March 30 with three games: Young Conker, Fragments and RoboRaid.
The development ﷽kit will also include an “enhanced” Skype app as well as a selection of other non-gaming content.
Details were available via an official post on , but the article has since been pulled. Thankfully, a snagged it before it disappeared.
Fragments, a crime drama developed by As𓃲obo Studios, tasks you with collection clues and solving mysteries by interacting “directly” with the c𓄧haracters.
Microsoft VP Kudo Tsunoda said: “As a holographic platform highlight, Fragments demonstrates how creators can build characters and storylines that dr✤ive a higher level of emotional engagement and attachment than you can with any other medium.”
“Fragments blends the line between the digital world and the real world more than any other experience we built. When your living room has been used as the set for a story, it generates memories for you of what digi🃏tally happened in your space like it w൲as real. It is an experience that bridges the uncanny valley of your mind and delivers a new form of storytelling like never before.”
Talking about Young Conker, he added: “It 🙈is amazing how different the play experience feels based on playing the game in your living room versus your kitchen or your bedroom. Even starting the game from a different position in a single room creates an entirely new gameplay dynamic.”
As for RoboRaid?🌱 That was the mechtastic demo we saw previewed at🧜 E3 last year.
It’ll be some time before we see the equivalent kit details for consumers. Until then, let⛎ us know what you think of what we know so far…
