Throughout your playthrough of SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, you’ll be able to unlock all manner of costumes along the way. 11 costumes in SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake will be given to you as you unlock new realms. However, an additional 24 outfits are given to him if you collect doubloons and spend cosmic jelly. We wish this feature was available in Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated.

To access the costume menu, press the pause button on your controller. Now, press the shoulder buttons to go through the different tabs, such as “Options” and “World Map.” Keep doing that until you’re at the “Costumes Shop” screen. From here, select the clothes you’d like SpongeBob to wear by pressing the A button (X on PlayStation).

Before you enter each realm, Madame Kassandra will give you a new costume in SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, therefore instantly changing the protagonist’s look. Something to note, however, is that you’re not forced to wear this new style when you enter each new area. You can switch right back to the Wacky Child look, as shown above, if you’d like.

To acquire new costumesyou will need to collect both doubloons and cosmic jelly. While the latter is all over the map, doubloons are quite difficult to find. To get you started, you can find a doubloon in Mante Fe in the Wild West Jellyfish Fields. Hop on top of the buildings through some precise 3D platforming and then turn on the switches on three different roofs. After that, some spinning star platforms will emerge, revealing the way to a doubloon. Once you’ve collected two doubloons, you’ll gain access to four new costumes in Each will be available for 500 cosmic jellies. Purchase them and then you can equip SpongeBob with these styles whenever you’d like.
