How to collect ammo while you have a specialist hired in Fortnite

We all need a bit of help sometimes.

Fortnite’s specialists are occasionally life-saving, giving you that little bit of extra firepower you need to turn the tides of a stalemate or catch someone persistently running away. For the most part, you and other players will outperform them, but they’re still worth having for weekly quests.

How to hire a specialist in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1

Hiring specialists in Fortnite involves visiting any NPC that appears with a square dialogue icon on your map. As you land or travel to a landmark, you’ll notice these appear, indicating someone is nearby to hire or purchase weapons from.

Fortnite Chapter 6, S🃏eason 1 has four specialists in the following locations:

NPC NameSpecialist TypeLocation
CinderHeavy SpecialistOpen-Air Onsen, south of Demon’s Dojo
ViScout SpecialistRolling Blossom Farm, south of Seaport City
MizukiSupply SpecialistLost Lake
HelsieMedic SpecialistCanyon Crossing

Each specialist costs 250 gold bars to hire, making them inexpensive if you’re only hiring them once or twice for some quests. Nonetheless, if you recruit them during every round, these costs will add up, so be sure to pick up as much gold as possible from eliminations and chest loot.

How to collect ammo in Fortnite

Fortunately, collecting ammo is much easier than hiring a specialist. You can collect ammo by opening chest loot, picking it up off the ground, or eliminating other players. You can also find ammo boxes around the Fortnite map in every landmark and POI, giving you plenty of chances to stockpile some for 🗹your next fight.
