How to complete the Deliver the Grilled Fish Quest in The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom

A growing boy needs his protein

“Deliver the Grilled Fish” is one of the first side-quests you’ll come across in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and it’s tricky to complete. Fortunately, it isn’t the hardest thing to do if you know what it wants from you, and you’ll get a nice prize, too.

You can start “Deliver the Grilled Fish” the second you set foot in Seesyde🐓 Village. Once you enter the village, head south down the docks until you find a woman stand꧋ing beside a boat with a light blue roof. Talk to her to start the side quest.

The woman tells you that her son, Anube, hasn’t come home for dinner, and she ask♏s you to deliver his favorite meal, Grilled Fish. She’ll bring out the fish and tell you Anube likes to hang out in the forest north of the village. She’ll also tell you the woods are full of hungry monsters. Keep that in mind for later.

If you want every Echo in the game, this is your chance to grab the Grilled♏ Fish Echo. Before you get the idea that you can just give Anube a Grilled Fish Echo, I’ve got a spoiler for you: that won’t work. I tried that and found out the hard way Anube can smell that the Echo isn’t an actual fish and won’t take it.&nbsꦯp;

Instead of using an Echo, you’ll need Tri’s Bind powers to pick up the Grilled Fish and carry it to its destination. Once you’ve got the 𒁏Grilled Fish in the air, sta𒀰rt heading north until you come across a fallen pillar. You can still jump with the “B” button while using Bind, so jump onto the pillar and keep heading north.

Soon, you’ll come across a clearing patrolled by three Spear Moblins guarding a chest. The Spear Moblins will attack you on sight, but they’ll also go after the Grilled Fish if you drop it on the floor. Drop the💙 Fish a safe distance from the horde and take them out. I took 🌄care of them with the Peahat Echo, but you can summon a Pot or Rock Echo and throw it at them if you didn’t grab it earlier. Once they’re gone, you can open the chest and snag the ten Riverhorses inside.

With the secure clearing, you can pick up the Grilled Fish and bring it to the cliff at the back of the clꦐearing. Anube is there, sound asleep. You’ll need to get creative with your Echoes to get up to him. Start by putting down a Table Echo, then set a Crate Echo next to you and hop on it. Finally,🌸 put down a Crate Echo and put a Table Echo on top of it. With this set-up, you should have enough height to get onto the ledge.

If you still have the real Grilled Fish, Anube will wake up and eat it. He won’t return to townཧ with you, instead asking you to tell his mom he’s okay. If you do what he says, you’ll complete the quest and receive ten strands of Bubble Kelp.

You can use the Bubble Kelp to brew yourself a dive-time-iꦐncreasing Bubble Potion, but I’d hold on to it f🍸or a bit. If you head east along the beach toward Zora River, you’ll run into a Business Scrub trying to get a Smoothie Stand up and running. He needs three pieces of Bubble Kelp to get his operation going, and you can give some of the pile you got from “Deliver the Grilled Fish” to help. By doing this, you’ll be able to blend Smoothies, which you can use to restore health, boost your defenses, and unlock essential items like the Binoculars.

“Deliver the Grilled Fish” is just one of EOW’s many side quests, and completing them will net you excellent rewards. We have plenty of great guides to help you complete them, like this one on how to finish the “Elusive Tumpleweeds” quest in Gerudo Desert.
