How to complete Destiny 2’s Constellation: Pair quest for a Wish-Keeper Exotic Catalyst

Another Catalyst awaits Guardians brave enough to move stars.

Destiny 2’s Season 23 narrative may be winding down, but the game’s never-ending collectathon isn’t.

For Week 7 of Season of the Wish, alongside a new Starcat and some story, players can hunt down the third Catalyst option for the Wish-Keeper Exotic bow. This week, the quest for the new Catalyst is a lot like the first one that became available during Week 5. Players will need to overcome a Legendary version of the Starcrossed Exotic mission if they want to claim Destiny 2’s latest Catalyst.

Exotic Catalysts are additional enhancements for Exotic weapons. For typical Exotics, these Catalysts are often found via random luck or earned by completing specific challenges. Things work a little differently for Exotic weapons you can craft. For these, like the Revizion Zero, there are multiple Catalyst options, and they’re unlocked through specific means. For the Wish-Keeper bow, that meant Guardians had to use the weapon to create specific constellations in the starry sky.

Now, with the third Catalyst quest, Guardians are tasked with wholly throwing themselves into the danger of a higher-difficulty Exotic mission. That means players will face off agaಞinst Champions in addition to the increased-difficulty foes. These Constellation missions require the use of Wish-Keeper to start and complete. So, players will need to have already completed the Exotic mission via the step in the Season 23 story.

As with the other Constellation quests that have appeared in-game, the Week 7 variation can only be started after players have reached a certain place in the seasonal story. Players will know when it’s available, as they’ll already have triumphed over the Starcrossed Exotic mission at least once. After this, players will start to see new quests pop up from Mara Sov.

Players can visit Mara in the H.E.L.M. to obtain the quest and kick off the process. The first task of the quest asks players to launch into the Starcrossed Exotic mission onꦑ Legendary difficulty.

Once players make their way into the Exotic mission, the quest log updates, and the new objective tells players to seek out another Celestial Anomaly. This time, players will be heading to the Roost, a huge area starting right after the first encounter and stretching until the boss. Players will know they’ve entered the correct area by the appearance of the first mechanics requiring the red flower power-up (Dam’s Gift) to progress.

The specific location players are looking for isn’t until just after the second encounter, and it’s well hidden. It’s exceptionally easy for Guardians to overlook, so it’s worth going slow after completing the second encounter. Immediately after using the portal to exit the zone where the second encounter took place, players will find themselves in the area where the Celestial Anomaly is hidden.

Once in the labyrinthine area, head through the first doorway and into the next area that has a circle of red flowers. From the buff, turn around. There is a crack in ꦍthe wall just to the right of where players entered the room. Following this path, players will eventually arrive a♕t a chamber covered in red flowers. The Celestial Anomaly rests at the center.

With the Celestial Anomaly found, it’s now time for players to play god again and rearrange stars. As before, once players have interacted with the Celestial Anomaly, they’ll need to equip Wish-Keeper and look to the sky. There, they’ll see a single shining star that can be shot with Wish-Keeper to slowly unfurl a new constellation image.

The constellation is of two Ahamkara nuzzling their heads against one another. It’s similar to the image shown in the cinematic the first time Guardians clear the Starcrossed Exotic mission. With a new visage of what is likely Riven and Taranis’ love, the Constellation: Pair quest will update again. This quick step only requires Guardians to interact with the pool of light where the Celestial Anomaly was originally found.

The final task in the Constellation: Pair ques🦩t will simply ask Guardians to finish the Starcrossed Exotic mission. Of course, the whole ordeal has been undertaken on Legendary difficulty so far, but the end is in sight. All that remains is one more locked door and then the final boss. Then, the Catalyst awaits in a chest at the very end.
