How to complete Riven’s Wishes 2 in Destiny 2

Hope you held on to some of those old Tinctures of Queensfoil.

The second week of Riven’s Wishes has arrived in Destiny 2, and with it comes another chance to earn great rewards. While Riven’s Wishes 1 had players running around the Dreaming City to complete public events and minor activities, Guardians will be acting with a bit more purpose this week. The goal is to open seven Ascendant Chests found within the Dreaming City. However, it’s not as simple as just running around the patrol zone looking for spoils.

Riven’s Wishes are a new questline within Season of the Wish, where Guardians fulfill Riven’s final desires. Players can visit Mara Sov in the H.E.L.M. to receive Riven’s Wishes quests, and more come each week. Once completed, Guardians can return to tell Mara about their progress and gain a Wish Token. These Wish Tokens can then be spent with Mara Sov for fantastic prizes like Lightfall Exotic armor or the best shader in the game.

For Riven’s Wishes 2, players will need some familiarity with the Dreaming City and some Tincture of Queensfoil. How much Tincture of Queensfoil depends on luck and speed.

A Tincture of Queensfoil, please

First, if players need some Tincture of Queensfoil, it can be purchased from Petra Venj in the Dreaming City. Each Tincture costs 5 Legendary Shards (while they’re still a currency). Alternatively, Guardians might get lucky and find that they still have Tinct🍬♐ures of Queensfoil in their Inventory or obtain them from a random patrol chest.

While nabbing the seven Ascendant Chests is doable with only one Tincture this week, that won’t happen every week in the remaining season. The week Riven’s Wishes 2 became available also happened to be a week that the Dreaming City’s curse is at its weakest. This curse rotates week by week and determines how accessible the Ascendant Chests are. If you’re unsure, an easy way to know is by checking where Petra is hanging out. If she’s in The Strand, it’s a feeble week for the curse.

Chest 1

From the Landing Zone in the Divalian Mists, turn around and head into the Bay of Drowned Wishes Lost Sector. Go through the initial tunnel and head out into the big open area. From there, head towards the furthest rock with a tree atop it. Once on top of the rock, pop the Tincture of Queensfo🎐il, and some spectral platforms will appear. Follow these platforms to the first chest.

Chest 2

Fast travel back to the Divalian Mists and head to🐼warꦗds the entrance to The Blind Well. Halfway through the main corridor, the passage narrows alongside two statues. Platforms will appear near the statue on the left. Traverse this rubble, winding from the hallway to far above the entrance to grab another Ascendant Chest.

Chest 3

The third chest will take us into The Strand. From the previous chest, hop down and head into the tunnels on the right. Coming into The Strand, travel roughly forward towards the circular chapel-looking structure in the distance. While there is a platform path that leads around and up the structure, it’s arguably more straightforward to use the rocks behind it. Make your way to the top and hop onto the roof. A platform will appear in the center.

Chest 4

From the third chest location, hop off the edge and enter the Aphelion’s Rest Lost Sector. At the start, if Guardians use Strand grapple or something like St0mp-ee5, they can hop up to an alcove on the left. Once up there, the chest is against the wall in a corner closest to the Lost Sector entrance. If this isn’t possible, complete the Lost Sector as normal and don’t forget about the chest on the way out.

Chest 5

Heading out of Aphelion’s Rest, the next stop is the Gardens of Esila. This is on the opposite side of The Strand, up some stairs to the right of where Guardians initially entered the zone. The location in question is the massive bridge in the center of the area. Once on the bridge, those familiar spectral rubble pieces will appear, and you can follow the winding path to the fifth Ascendant Chest.

Chest 6

Head back up to the bridge and follow it into the connected chamber. A portal in the center of the room will take you to a path leading to The Confluence. Head straight ahe🌺ad towards the pink-lit statue to see more platforms appear. These will snake through the area, eventually leading back to the top of the central chamber.♛ There, the sixth Ascendant Chest awaits.

Chest 7

Head out of The Confluence through the door with a visible statue down the hall. This path leads to Harbinger’s Seclude, the location of the final Ascendant Chest. Once players enter the area, look for a Taken portal in the back left of the room. Head straight ahead and into a circular room filled with taken. Then, turn left and head into a room with an elevator.

Take the elevator up and through the next chamber, towards a giantℱ statue on a small bridge. Platforms will appear to the right of the bridge. Once you reach the fourth platform, the path will split with rubble appearing ahead and to the left. The left path will lead to the final Ascendant Chest.
