How to complete the Horse Guai quest in Black Myth: Wukong

To complete the Horse Guai quest in Black Myth: Wukong, you must find and talk to him in every chapter. Depending on where you are, he’ll be standing somewhere or possibly trapped. Ensure you also exhaust all his dialogue to the point where he repeats himself for safe measure.

Noth🧸ing particular will happen immediately as you talk to him, but this will progress the 🍸quest regardless.

All Horse Guai locations

The following are all the locations wh🌊ere he will appear in each chapter. Luckily, he will only appear once in each case, so you’re all good to go once you interact with him. Make sure you talk to him b🃏efore you make significant progress in the region or chapter.

Chapter 3 – The New West

Start at the Temple Entrance Shrine at the New Thunderclap Temple. This will be a much longer route than the last two chapters. Wꦜhile making your way up to theꦐ main part of the temple, go off to the left.

Similar to the route yo🉐u take for the Fox quest of this chapter,📖 instead of going up the big set of stairs on the left side of the route, there should be another entrance t♏o the right. This is the area where you encounter blindfolded monks and some thunder mages.

The Horse Guai won’t be tied up or anything this time.ꦓ He’ll just have a conversation with you.

His this cocoon enough times to break him free. You’ll initiate a cutscene where he’ll thank you for helping him along the wa🃏y. Make sure to chat with him even more after this.

Chapter 5 – Flaming Mountains

From the Valley Entrance Shrine at Furnace Valley, progress normally through here. Clear all the enemies around because they are aggressive or have projectiles. You should find one of the Elemental carts here, broken do🎀wn.

Interacting with this cart will initiate dialogue with the Horse Guai, who once again found himself in trouble. Do not pull the string to initiate the convers🐓ation with him more than three times, or it’ll lock you out of the quest.

Nothing significant𒐪 will happen yet, so you must come back here after defeating the final boss of this chapter. Do not progress any further beyond that.

Once you have done all this, you can finally get his Dark Thunder spirit, compleꦓt𓃲ing the quest.
