The Welcome to Frieza Force Bonus Battle tests your Saiyan strength as you compete against multiple elite foes. It’s a pretty demanding task, especially since you only have Nappa to rely on. Even more so, a few restrictions are in place to further the challenge.
To help you with the quest, here’s how to complete Welcome to Frieza Force in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Welcome to Frieza Force guide
Sparking Zero’s Welcome to Frieza Force has a few hidden rules that aren’t explicitly shown on its designated page. However, if you browse through its ‘View Effects’ section, you’ll notice several restrictions that can ultimately lead to your demise. Based on the quest’s description, you cannot use an Emote or perform an ultimate attack on Frieza during the fight.
Those who perform any of these interactions will automatically lose the battle, triggering Frieza’s devastating attack against Nappa. You can still use the ultimate attack, Nappa Cannon, on other characters, but make sure not to use it on Frieza (he’ll see it as an insult.)
How to beat all Frieza Force fighters in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero
Once you begin the fight, you must defeat Frieza Force Soldier, Cui, Dodoria, Zarbon, and Frieza 1st Form. Any time you eliminate a character, they’ll switch out with the next one on the list. Frieza Force Soldier will be the first on the lineup, which should be relatively easy compared to the rest of the fighters.
With each character switch, you’ll gain a temporary negative effect that prohibits you from seeing the enemy. Thꦍe de-buff will appear in the upper-left corner with a crossed-out icon. Look around the area as much as possible to get your target back in p⛦lace.
Dodoria’s fight will prove much more challenging than the first two due to his almost impenetrable guard. Use Instant Transmission or Z Burst Dash to counter it and unleash a few surprising strikes. Unfortunately, it’ll get more intense once Zarbon comes into play. Avoid his special attack at all costs, as this will deplete your health dramatically. Remember, you only have Nappa in your arsenal here, so you must preserve any health you can.
If you want to defeat every opponent quickly, use Sparking Mode’s Rush Attacks (regular punches) and the Saiyan Spirit ability. Sparking Mode is a special form that allows you to charge up your Ki for temporary enhanced buffs. All you need to do is unleash a flurry of punches with it, and it should get your opponent down in no time. This mode works well with Frieza, too, but don’t use Nappa Cannon; it’ll trigger an automatic loss.
Saiyan Spirit also improves your performance, boosting your character’s strength substantially. I find it best to utilize it for Frieza’s battle, considering that he’s the strongest fighter in this match. Although you’ll only go against his weaker 1st Form, it’ll still be hard to deal with if your health is at an all-time low. On the bright side, the Bonus Battle provides two buffs if Nappa’s health reaches a certain point. You’ll activate Sparking Mode automatically if his bar gets down to 50 or 25 percent. Take advantage of this opportunity to get some hits in without charging your Ki.
After every character switch, you’ll acquire a few other buffs throughout the match, including a Rush Attack Boost Ability item. Keep using these enhancements to get closer to a successful completion. In return, you can claim 20,000 Zeni, Player EXP, and the playable character Frieza Force Soldier. Nappa’s Proficiency may also increase, giving you more rewards in Zen-Oh’s Orders.
