If you’re trying to upgrade your base to Level 3, you’ll need to know how to craft a rare crossbow and defeat three Storm Acolytes. We’re here to show how it’s done, including details on resources and recipes.

How to craft a rare crossbow in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey

With the new and improved crafting mechanics, you can now select resources to place a specific rarity on the tool. It makes crafting much easier, as the previous method sometimes had you guessing which materials to use. To get a rare crossbow in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, go to a Cra🍎fting Bench and select the follo🐼wing resources:

  • Limb: Copper, Gold, Iron Bars
  • Stock: Any wooden rods work
  • String: Drawstring

Rare crossbows require Copper, Iron, or Gold Bars, which you’ll need to mine with a pickaxe. These three materials are the only ones that offer the Rare type for the crossbow, as other resources produce lower-grade results. For Copper and Iron, travel to the caves in Dry Valley or Frostlands. Alternatively, Gold Ore spawns on floating islands in th𒁃e Lost Isles. Smelt any ore with the Metal Smelter to make them into bars.

The Stock and String ingredients should be easy to collect since they can be made with almost anything. Simply collect any kind of wood and vines to utilize them on the Spinning Wheel and Lumber Mill. You can mix and match these particular items (whether with Mahogany or Knotroot) to see if you can increase various stats, including Durability, Damage, Speed, and Knockback. However, ensure that the Copper, Iron, or Gold Bars stay within the Limb section, keeping the crossbow’s Rare status.

Now, the moment you’ve been waiting for. It’s time to put the rare crossbow to use by defeating three Storm Acolytes. They can show up at your base, which will trigger after crafting the Rune Forge. You can also find them around the Storm Chaser Base Camp. To defeat them at theꩲ base, use the following items to build the Rune Forge:

  • 10 Granite Slab
  • 6 Glass
  • 4 Cursed Bone

Cursed Bones drop from Cursed Wolves around Grassland biomes. You can then smelt sand using a Metal Smelter for Glass and utilize the Stone Breaker for Granite Slab. Craft the Rune Forge and place an ability on your rare crossbow, similar to what you may have done with Tomes in Lost Isles. It’s entirely up to you what Rune you want to put on it, such as extra Health, Damage, and Durability.

After placing the Rune on your weapon, Storm Ac♔olytes will show up at your base, which will help you complete the quest for the Village Level 3 upgrade. Unfortunately, you may run into trouble on this part, as the villagers can end up taking your kills from you. Therefore, if this happens, just go out exploring, and Storm Acolytes should spawn.

I found a Storm Acolyte camp not too far from the Storm Chaser Base Camp, so you can try to look around for one there. Once you’ve located three Storm Acolytes, take advantage of your rare crossbow to deal hefty damage. Plus, if you need more arrows, you can grab some from downed enemies.

After you’ve crafted the rare crossbow, placed a Rune, and defeated the enemies, return to your village to earn the Level 3 upgrade. It’ll provide you with the Storm Chaser recipe and a randomized gift from a villager, getting you closer to eliminating the LEGO Fortnite Odyssey’s Storm King.
