Once you’re at the stage of farming Prime weapons and frames in Warframe, grinding for the supplies you need can get grossly time-consuming. Not only do you need to trust in the RNG of getting Prime parts (unless you purchase them from another player📖), but you also need to farm up man💜y materials to make said Prime item.
Nearly every Prime item in the game needs Orokin Cells to be crafted, so farming these as quickly as possible can help a lot. Here’s how to farm Orokin Cells in Warframe.
Where to get Orokin Cells in Warframe
Orokin Cells are found on Saturn, Cer꧃es, and Deimos as a possible drop from most Grineer or Infested enemie🀅s, albeit with a low chance. Orokin Cells can also drop from any boss in the game, though the rate of this can vary. With all this in mind, missions, where you kill many enemies or deal with bosses quickly, can be a great source of Orokin Cells. A personal favorite farming spot of mine is Piscinas on the planet Saturn, since it offers Infested enemies in droves and has plenty of rooms for you and your squad to sit in.
If farming a boss is more your speed, the easiest way is to farm the Captain Vor and Lieutenant Lech Kril dual boss fight on the node Exta on Ceres. Both Vor and Lech Kril are easy to kill once you understand their mechanics, and no other f♏ight in the game has you fighting two different bosses in the same mission. I tend to average about one O♊rokin Cell per run doing it this way.
Passive Orokin Cell farm in Warframe
Getting these can be a pain, especially for players who aren’t too far into the game. Luckily, there are two ways you can passively get Orokin Cells in Warframe to supplement your journey to getting dozens if not hundred🏅s, or thousands (like myself).
The first way to do this is to buy the Blueprint for 1﷽00 Platinum. This may not be that optimal but can help you get a few more when you really need them. You’ll need the following tওo craft one:
- 15,000 Credits
- 50,000 Alloy Plates
- 50,000 Nano Spores
- 25,000 Salvage
The other⛎ way is to buy a few Distilling Extractors from the market. Here are the pri🌸ces and resource costs:
- Blueprint: 50,000 Credits
Crafting requirements:
- 50,000 Credits
- 1,000 Polymer Bundle
- 150 Oxium
Upon building t🍸hem, you’ll then want to deploy them on the following planets:
- Deimos
- Ceres
- Saturn
Monit🅷or these every four hours as they can be destroyed if deployed for too long. They won’t always guarantee a few Orokin Cells per extraction, but you increase your chances by deploying them on planets where Orokin Cells are considered “rare” or “uncommon”.
Best Orokin Cell farm in Warframe
If you want to farm Orokin Cells fast in Warframe, you’ll want t🌃o get a looting frame like one🍒 of the following:
- Nekros Despoil build
- Khora Pilfering Strangledome build
- Hydroid Pilfering Swarm build
- Atlas Ore Gaze build
You can use more than one in a squad, but it isn’t rea♐ll🍒y needed.
Next, the most optimal missions to farm Orokin Cellไs are the followin🌠g:
- Gabii – Ceres
- Magnacidium – Deimos
- Piscinas – Saturn
Gabii and Piscinas are both Dark Sector Infested survival missions. Mid-game-infested enemies are easy to fight against, given that most of them will try to attack you at melee range. Because of this, you can camp in a hallway or use strong melee builds to mow down mobs o♋f them𝔉.
These Dark Sectors also boost resource drop chanꦏce rates, making them more optimal compar🍬ed to other missions on their respective planets.
As for Magnacidium, it’s another Assassination mi𝔉ssion. Compared to our recommendations above, you have three chances to get an Orokin Cell as a reward. The three heads of Lephantis all have their own l♌oot pools, which increases the chance of dropping the resource.
How to Orokin Cell farm faster in Warframe
Along with using looting frames, you can also increase your acquisition of Orokin Cells by b𝓰uying or earning Resource Boosters or Resource Drop Ch𒁏ance Boosters.
The Drop Chance Booster will just increase the likelihood of getting Orokin Cells. The normal Resource Booster will double the amount you get per pickup. If you earn two in one drop without t𒁏he booster, you’d get four.
On top of using boosters, use a Smeeta Kavat paired🧸 with the Resourceful Retriever and Charm mods to further increase your chances of getting and doubling Orokin Cell drops.
If you do not have a Kavat, you can use a Chesa Kubrow as they have a similar equivalent of Charm called Retrieve. This mod, at max rank, has a 45% chance to loot an additional item from fallen enemies within 30 meters every ten seconds. It’s not a🌄s potent, but still a decent substitute.
Lastly, if you are playing on Steel Path, you’ll have an even highe💦r chance of earning this elusive resource. Although, it will take quite some time to get there if you’re still working on the normal star chart. Steel Path bossing isn’t worth it; it’s more for general mobbing in the Survival missions.
