How to farm Regal Shards in Path of Exile 2

If you have been playing Path of Exile 2 for any amount of time, then you should already know that defeated enemies usually drop Regal Shards. Stacking twenty Regal Shards means getting a Regal Orb, which can be used to upgrade your magic equipment, leveling it up to “Rare” status, thus making it much stronger. Unfortunately, the drop rate for Regal Shards is pretty low.

To avoid being stuck for hours hunting down common enemies, to get perhaps just a ♐couple of shards, you should probably go exclusively after bosses and special enemies, such as Harbingers. They have a much higher drop rate for Regal Shards, but of course, the problem is that they might be hard to find in your usual playthrough.

To avoid being stuck with low-level equipment, we recommend revisiting any of the locations that you have already cleared, especially if your character is still on a low level. Killing lower-level enemies is a quick and easy way to get your hands on some shards without making too much of an effort. Also, let’s not forget that killing a boss will usually also yield a Rare item.

Rare items are also quite useful in your ꦅsearch for Regal Orbs, as they can be disen🎐chanted, and a few Regal Shards can be gained in the process. Keep in mind that NPCs providing the disenchanting service are only a few, such as Una in the Clearfell Encampment, or Zarka in the Ardura Caravan.

Using the Instance Manager to farm Regal Shards

By using the Instance Manager in Path of Exile 2, you can quickly reset the map you have just visited. This means that you can go back and defeat all the enemies and bosses again and get yജour hands on rare items and regal shards. To reset your map instance, if you are playing on PC, simply hold the Left Control keyജ on your keyboard, then use your mouse to left-click on the location area node. That will open the Instance manager right away.

A good tip that should save you some time comes from the . Specifically, the user torsoreaper recommends going back to the Clearfell witch for quick Regal Shards farming. Here’s what you must do to minimize the time spent farming Shards:

  1. After teleporting to Clearfell, head north for about 20 yards.
  2. Defeat the witch and teleport out of the area.
  3. Create a new Clearfell instance by using the Instance Manager (if you are unsure you can follow our guide on how to reset map instances).
  4. Go back and re-do the fight all over.

The witch should allow you to stack up shards or, in any case, rare items, much quicker than most other bosses. Coming back once you are stronger⛎ and levelled up your character, should allow you to come in and make quick work of the boss as well.
