How to feed Pegasus in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Maybe one day, they'll start flying around Mythopia.

Few things in Disney Dreamlight Valley are cuter than tiny horses running around. They’re a little mischievous, but they certainly make Mythopia more pleasant to explore. Let’s check out exactly what a Pegasus’ favorite food is in DLV’s Storybook Vale expansion.

How to approach a Pegasus in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Unlike owls in the Library of Lore and Baby Dragons in Everafter, Pegasi in Disney Dreamlight Valley are energetic creatures that like to run around. You’ll have to chase them for a while to tire them out, similar to how you’d approach a rabbit in the base game. It may take a few tries, but it shouldn’t take longer than a minute.

You’ll know a Pegasus is ready to eat some food when they walk toward your character, and an “Approach” interaction appears. From here, your inventory will open, allowing you to select a meal for them to eat. Although they’ll seem picky at first, you have plenty of food options to choose from.

What is a Pegasus’ favorite food in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

Pegasi in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Storybook Vale expansion absolutely love high-quality vegetarian meals. More specifically, any four- or five-star vegetarian meal is a favorite of the Pegasus, giving yo༒u plenty of options to satisfy their unique taste.

Just about any dish with only vegetables as its main ingredient will count toward their favorite food as it’s at least four stars. You can also go for dishes like Ratatouille or Gazpacho. As long as it isn’t full of sugar or meat, the Pegasus will be pretty happy.

If you want to make them happy but don’t have enough materials for a four-star dish, you can also settle for a lower-quality vegetable meal. Even a one-star veggie platter will make them happy, even if it isn’t necessarily their favorite food.

All Pegasus types and schedules

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s The Storybook Vale expa🀅nsion has four Pegasus types you can meet. They all have unique spawn times and locations, as detailed below:

Pegasus TypeLocationTime
Pink PegasusThe Elysian FieldsAll Day (Thursday to Sunday)
Blue PegasusThe Fiery PlainsAll Day (Monday to Wednesday)
Peach PegasusMount Olympus6 p.m. to 12 a.m. (Tuesday to Saturday)
Yellow PegasusThe Statue’s Shadow6 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Every Day)

Although the first two roam around Mythopia all day, Pe🌠ach and Yellow Pegasi only appear at certain times. Fortunately, they all appear on multiple days, giving you plenty of chances to stop by for a few minutes and say hello to a few critters.

In other words, the Pegasi you interact with will depend on your progression and playtime. If you’re unable to play at night, you may struggle to befriend the Peach Pegasus. Similarly, if you’re in the early game and only have the Elysian Fields unlocked, you’ll only have the Pink Pegasus to interact with until you open the rest of Mythopia.

Not every ingredient has to be a vegetable, either. I gave one a Vegetarian Pizza, and they were just as happy as if they had a random salad. They may like vegetables, but they also enjoy trying out new things — at least, that’s what I like to think.
