Calm Thoughts are a rare Growth Mater♍ial that is needed when it comes to unlocking alternative colorways for Nikki’s completed outfits, including Miracle Outfits and Ability Outfits. Palette-swapping isn’t straightforward, though, with the main issue hiding behind the main story progression.

If you’re lucky and you pre-registered for Infinity Nikki before global release, you will have seven Calm Thoughts waiting for you in your in-game mailbox as soon as you log in. They came as part ☂of a bundle including other valuable resources and Resonance Crystals, but in this circumstance, those Calm Thoughts are definitely what you’re after.

Outside of this pre-registration reward, you’re going to be in this for the long haul. The first time you’ll be given any Calm Thoughts comes in Chapter 7 of Infinity Nikki, after you’ve gone through the trial of defeating the chapter’s boss Esseling. The initial handout will be jus💮t three Calm Thoughts, which sadly isn’t even half of what you need.

After this point, you’ll unlock the Realm of Breakthrough, which will🃏 allow you to take on the boss from Chapter 7 again once per week, rewarding you with another three Calm Thoughts at a cost of 60 Vital Energy.

To use your Calm Thoughts, open up the Pear-Pal and select “Evolution”. This will bring up a scroll wheel displaying all of the complete outfits that you currently own. It꧅’s worth noting that owning one item from a set isn’t enough to evolve it and change its color — you need to own the entire set.

Select the outfit th꧃at you want to alter, and you’ll come to a new window displaying the outf🍷it as it currently is. At the bottom of the screen, select the completed hourglass shape and you’ll be shown what the Outfit will look like when you’ve evolved it.

You’ll need seven Calm Thoughts to alter an owned Outfit, along with theཧ following resources:

  • A duplicate set of the Outfit you’re trying to modify
  • 30,000 Bling
  • 100 Thread of Purity

Provided you have all of that and your seven Calm Thoughts, you can go ahead and click🍸 on “Evolve” to change the appearance of your outfit.

Changing the color scheme of an outfit does not alter its base stats or tags. This is purely aesthetic and down to your own tastes and style. You also don’t always need Calm Thoughts to alt♔er an existing outfit, with the following types of outfits seeming to be exceptions:

  • Premium Store Outfits
    • These seem to require only a duplicate of the outfit, meaning you’ll have to purchase it twice in order to get a new colorway.
  • Five Star Outfits
    • Rather than needing Calm Thoughts to upgrade a five star outfit, you’ll need Heartfelt Thoughts.

With regular outfits, the new appearance will simply be 🔥available as an alternative option within the Wardrobe 🦩menu.

If you’ve changed the appearance of your Ability Outfits, you can switch back and forth between the different appearances by opening up the Wardrobe and selecting “Ability Setup.” When the Ability Wheel is visible, click on the Ability with the Outfit you want to change, then selec🧜t the two-arrowed icon next to the name at the bottom of the screen. This will open up a new menu, allowing you to choose your appearance when that Ability is activated.
