Golden Llamas are rare loot containers that spawn randomly around Fortnite’s map. Since they have random spawns, there’s no one specific location to camp if you’re wishing to find them as part of a weekly quest or event. Instead, your goal is to survive as long as possible and move around the map in hopes of spotting one of these in the wild.

Golden Llamas appear as a goofy-looking gold llama that’s slightly smaller than the player’s model. If you’re familiar with the game’s rainbow versions from previous seasons, they look almost the exact same with a distinct color change.

Since Golden Llamas can spawn anywhere, there’s a chance you’ll encounter them in strange spots like the sides of cliffs, near the edge of the map, or on top of massive mountains. I even found one of a cliff’s edge that I could barely navigate, making it a little tricky to search it for loot. Sometimes, it requires a bit of trial and error.
