How to find Red Loong in Black Myth: Wukong

Bringing a stick to a dragon fight.

There are a handful of secret dragon bosses hidden throughout Black Myth: Wukong, and Red Loong is the one that lurks in the forests of c𒀰hapter one.

Red Loong is hidden very close to the start of the game, but you won’t actually be able to fight the dragon until you’ve made your way through a portion of chapter two. That’s because you need to find the Loong Scales before you can unlock the secret 𓆉area where Red Loong lives. The Scales are inside a chest behind a breaka𝐆ble wall in the First Prince of Flowing Sands boss arena. After you’ve collected them, you’re ready to go dragon hunting.

How to find Red Loong

To find Red Loong, you’ll need to travel to the Outside the Forest shrine. Follow the path forward past two enemies until you reach another enemy guarding a wooಌden bridge. Defeat him, then jump off the bridge and follow the stream to your right. You know you’re heading in the right direction when you start hearing a disembodied voice speaking. Travel far enough upstream, and you’ll find a waterfallജ that’s pouring into the forest.

If you have the Loong Scales in your inventory, you’ll have the option to interact with the waterfall when you approach♊ it. The Scales would cause the water to disappear, and behind it lies the entrance to Red Loong’s boss arena. I’d recommend waiting until you’ve cleared most of chapter two before circling back for this boss fight because it’ll make the encounter much easier.

With that said, Red Loong isn’t a particularly difficult boss. It mostly relies on tail swipe attacks and a couple of different stomps. The main thing you need to worry about is electricity damage building up over time. Craft some Shocking-Quelling Powder at a shrine, and you should be just fine.
